So far I've stayed at Contemp, Poly, AKL and Beach Club. I voted for BC, but honestly I loved them all for different reasons. AKL was absolutely amazing. Poly and Contemp being on the Monorail was great. Contemp we had a Tower MK-view room and watching Wishes was great [although the fireworks set off lots of car alarms below us :lol:]. Poly had gorgeous theming. I voted Beach Club because of the very short walk to EPCOT and the Boardwalk. All of them had really nice rooms and amenities.

I'm looking forward to trying GF, WL, Boardwalk and Yacht over the years.

Since you're going in December, I think you should go with the Wilderness Lodge; that's my favourite resort to stay at during Christmastime. I also checked off the Contemporary, Dolphin, & Polynesian, because they're all great.

I've only stayed at WL but visited the GF, CR, AKL, Poly, and Yacht Club. I love the WL. It's my favorite out of all of them. We loved the whole place from the pool to the room to Whispering Canyon. I can't wait to go back some day.

I voted for Poly.

My runners up, in order of preference:

1. Boardwalk
2. Contemporary
3. Animal Kingdom Lodge savannah view

(I've also stayed at Wilderness Lodge, but didn't like it as much as any of the above.)

I've had the best stays at GF, Poly, and WL. Have nothing but wonderful memories. I had an ok stay at Contemp but for me it just lacked that themed feel... to much like any other hotel away from disney but the rooms were great quality and super quiet. My only bad stay was at BWI and please note it was not because of the hotel but due to a room issue and poor handling by the night staff although the hotel itself is on par with the beauty of the GF but just has a different feel with the boardwalk being right there that was kind of nice. It's only negatives for me (i travelled with my sister) was that the walk to dhs at night was isolated and somewhat dark. we didn't feel as safe as i'd like with nearby gas station w/regular foot traffic and i thought their allocation of buses to/from mk was ridiculous. we had a 10 minute wait for space mountain (not fast passed) and an hour wait for a bus back to our hotel... you do the math lol. No matter what you choose... December at wdw in a deluxe hotel... can you really go wrong?

I picked GF b/c after going and visiting almost all the Deluxe resorts this past December it seemed the most beautiful to me. The life size gingerbread house is there and they even had carolers in front of the tree in the lobby in the evening. It was amazing.

I like the poly the best... You are able to take the monorail to mk and epcot...and take the bus back to the ttc if the poly bus isn't there or busy from dhs ak and dtd and walk back to your room...it's also a great resort

We have stayed at all but the GF. They are all nice but our favorite is the BC. The YC/BC can't be touched for location and convenience to EPCOT and DHS. We like the selection of restaurants within walking distance in the resort as well as EPCOT. The pool by far is the best on property. We have watched the kids grow up having wonderful times in Stormalong Bay. Lastly I would say the staff at te BC is the best we have found, although we dearly missed Art on our most recent viit.

I like the BW because of the loaction and the overall atmosphere. It's nice to have the bars and restaraunts so close and it's just fun to walk around. You are also convinient to two parks.

In our house we have a real split

2 votes for the Poly
1 for the Boardwalk
1 for WL
1 for AKL

However being able to stay at any and enjoy the unique atmosphere of each is always a joy.

We have stayed at the Boardwalk, Swan and WL. Loved them all but WL is our favorite. WL was amazing this past summer. Loved the location where you could just take a boat to the MK. You should think about which parks you will be visiting the most because the EPCOT resorts are great if you plan to spend a lot of time at EPCOT or HS. We spent the most time at MK so we loved the WL location. Of all the deluxe hotels I think the one that interests me the least is the Contemporary because it lacks theme for me and call me crazy but it felt like I could feel the place move when the monorail came through. I think any of them will be great!!
