Which Deluxe has the best counter service?

We've always stayed at POR and love the food court but I may be planning a trip where we would rent DVC points in order to accommodate 5 adults. I am concerned about food options as I haven't seen a lot of counter service places at deluxe resorts and we can't afford table service for every meal. What are your experiences?

Haven't been to the new one at the Contemporary. Grand Floridian is good but our family's favorite is Roaring Forks at WL. My young sons developed a fixation on the place years ago. It was pretty much just burgers, hot dogs, fried chicken, salads and a few other sandwiches, but that was pretty much what my guys liked:burgers, hot dogs and most of all fried chicken.

To this day we still joke about having lunch at Roaring Forks, even though it is a solid 7 hour drive from here :)

We had pretty good luck with Yacht club and Boardwalk. Boardwalk had more options...but we also had some options w/Hurrican Hannah's and a short walk to Epcot made quick service dining a dream.

We like Roarin'Forks as well as Capt Cooks. Didn't like any of the food offerings at the Boardwalk Inn.

The main thin to remember is they are snack bars and not food courts like you have experienced in the past so the offerings are limited.

Does every deluxe resort have a hot food/grill station i.e. burgers & fries? When I think snack bar I think a refrigerator with pre-packaged sandwiches and bottled drinks.

Thanks for everyone's input!

Beaches and Cream

We love Beaches and Cream which is in between the yacht and the Beach Club. It's like a 50's hamburger joint. Yummy food and fun atmosphere. It is pricey though.

For the most part, yes. Yacht & Beach Club share the Hurricane Hannah's grill. And the Boardwalk has different smaller places for food throughout the Boardwalk area instead of a centralized food court. Selection of foods will vary. A list of all the menus at WDW - and their current selections/prices - can be found here:
