I'm not so sure an update would help Ellen. The video is old, and the AAs are pretty bad. Unless they completely remake the video and update the AAs.. I feel like it might be on its way out.

Correct! That is the biggest issue!

The film they use was shot about 20+ years ago, and Bill Nye and Ellen no longer look like that!

If they are going to use people instead of animation, make sure to keep it updated!

I would love to see Epcot get a rather serious facelift. DH and I were JUST talking about that at lunch today. This next trip for us is our first trip where we are spending only a half day at Epcot and honestly it's only to eat in Mexico, ride Spaceship Earth, Test Track, and LwtL, and go into Mousegear and the art store. We will likely briefly explore WS as we do enjoy the pavilions.

I'm not exactly sure. It was updated when I rode in September. The Buzz AA in the queue looked way better. His face used to have this bright, almost white tone to it. This time his face had been updated. His range of motion was enhanced as well.
That's interesting I'm surprised not that many people on the forums noticed thast. I remember seeing his face all white most of the time.

If you completely forget the original version of imagination, then the current one can be listed as a decent c ticket. The overall ride isn't the worse thing ever just disney fans know what it once was and what it could be.

This is a close one between UOE, and Imagination. I think Imagination barely gets it of UOE. UOE is very long in the teeth though and the amount of guests on the ride is way less than it was in 2000.

To me the difference is that while UoE is, indeed, dated, it doesn't suck. It's in desperate need for an update but, at the same time, it doesn't totally suck. Imagination sucks. I think it's only outdone by Stitch in the suckage on the property.

I don't argue about Imagination suck and is why I picked it back on December 15th. My problem with UOE is more than being dated. It is a attraction with high capacity, but not a lot of guests go on it anymore when I was there. UOE had had less than 30 guests get on for the ride I went on it and that is a problem with the attraction having 3 vehicles.

From those listed, I would definitely say Journey Into Imagination. It has sentimental value for me because I remember riding the former (and better) version as a kid. However, I really don't see how folks who don't have a sentimental attachment enjoy it very much. Also, and as I have stated before, they need to bulldoze those leave a legacy monolithic tombstones that are such an eye sore in front of Spaceship Earth (and I do realize those are not attractions).

Although I like all of these rides, I would say that due to the special effects not working all the time recently, Imagination would need an upgrade, especially with the popularity of Bing Bong from Inside Out amongst younger kids. Heck, his merchandising is suffering the same problem Frozen merchandise had in early 2014-it's constantly snapped up as soon as it arrives and sells for double the price on shopping sites! I bet you kids would eat up a redone Imagination ride as much as they would cotton candy. I predict that it would be based off this comic based off the film that centers around Imagination Land, but Gail would be replaced by Figment.

The Hall of Presidents. There hasn't been an update since 2009! And the way TDO handles things, it will be 2017 before we get another! Is this any way to run a theme park? I ask you.

I recently posted something about this on another thread, but if Fantasmic plans to stay another 20 or something years at DHS, then they should at least do something. I'm not talking about a whole Frozen take over ... and not just new "lights" and effects, but upgrading the dragon, swap out the Pocahontas scene, updating the music. It is still one of my favorites and I see it every time, and I'd be heartbroken if they decided to get rid of it, but even some change is for the better.

Tomorrowland Speedway. And not themed to Cars.
I say jerk it out and build a really great attraction and/or add additions to Tomorrowland...nothing tackier to me than the smell of burning gasoline and all the noisy governor-laden little go carts wedged right in the middle of all the themed entertainment...it is a BIG waste of potential and space.

To me it just doesn't fit. Period.

I voted for the Tomorrowland Speedway because it is neither futuristic nor an appropriate use of space.

When Autopia first opened in Disneyland, a connected highway system was planned for the future and brought about by Eisenhower. Fast forward 50+ years and the idea of an interstate highway system is no longer novel.
