Where's Mickey?

I waas at Epcot a couple days ago and I overheard a little boy ask his father if this (Epcot) was a Mickey park. I thought for a minute and looked around. I saw nothing that said Mickey except the gift shops and the big hand over Spaceship Earth.
Besides hidden Mickeys and the characters during the parade, are there any Mickeys anywhere?

Once, and only once I saw Mickey and Minnie, pluto, goofy and a handful of other characters, at the America Pavillion in the WS.

I always see the characters on the red double decker bus around Mexico in the World showcase. Mickey and the gang are always on there!!

The Character Caravan or something like that drives around the World Showcase FILLED with characters...from Mickey to Eeyore.

Thats true, they do drive around the whole showcase, its just that I always happen to see them when they are closest to Mexico, weird huh?

I believe that they actually STOP and get out right at the entrance to World Showcase from Future World. (not the entrance near Odyssey...but the main walk from SSE Earth to World Showcase)

I'm not so sure about the name, thats why I just referred to it as the "red double decker bus" :animwink:

The bus is called "Disney Characters on Holiday". Mickey's also at the meals at the Land's Garden Grill. Also, EPCOT is definatly not a character-deprived park. There's Circle of Life at the Land, Goofy About Health at the Wonders of Life, and Honey I Shrunk the Audience at Imagination.

The character Caravan does indeed go around world showcase several times a day. The daily park Handout as well as Guest Relations can give you the times and places they go to on a timed schedule. They are full of characters and fun and do allow for guest interaction and pix. There tune is catchy too! Enjoy!!

Now besides gift shops and the people in Mickey costumes, where else can you see Mickey in any of the other parks?

I think so. I know we saw Mickey there a few years ago...in a TUX, no less! Very handsome! :kiss:

You are 100% correct, Snow_Prince. EPCOT is not a character-oriented park at all, and was never really meant to be.

Mickeys

I don't think that Mickey is anywhere but in parades, meet & greets, and as gifts or signage. His only real attraction is his BIg one, Fantasmic. Any other attractions went away with the disappearance of Mickey Mouse Revue--but will return when PhilharMagic opens! There are also snippets of animation of him in the animation tour, the 100 years' kiosks, One Man's Dream, and Fantasmic.

The Epcot character greets were almost all eliminated when they came up with "Disney Characters on Holiday" (which by the way is the same music as Disneyland Paris' day parade). There is still an occasional random meet here and there, and also Aladdin and Jasmine are scheduled often at Morocco as are Pooh and Mary Poppins at UK. But the old days of having the different stories' characters in their country of origin are kinda defunct. Shame really, but the character bus is really great too.

They do - or at least they did the last time I was there. It involves a bit of a song and dance routine followed by character greetings and autographs.

It's closer to Future World, pretty much right in front of the Pin Station. It's kind of hard to explain. The character bus stops there when World Showcase hasn't opened yet. It's usually 2 or 3 times.
