Where's George Kalogridis? -- The First 100 MAGICal Days!

Yeah but then the stock price goes right in the outhouse and then we cut more!

I'm not sure I understand modern management theory......
It's simple, you gamble on the house of cards falling after you've left for another position or another company and let the schmuck who replaced you deal with the mess. If you don't make it out in time and things go to hell on your watch you'll be given a nice severance package that any normal person could retire on, then let the schmuck who replaces you deal with the mess.

Clearly I am in the wrong business.

Too bad we haven't seen moments like this yet with George and fanboi's:

I am more interested in the facts that NONE of the O-Town Lifestyle brigade has scored an interview, a picture or as much as a sighting of George.

Since the entire world knows he is 'living' at Saratoga Springs these days, it isn't like George would be hard to spot around the ground, whether it's for a morning jog or a end of workday flatbread pickup at Artist's Palette or a weekend breakfast with Andy at Turf Club.

I'll bet you that NONE of them have attempted to find him because they'd all be afraid to go up to the man, introduce themselves and talk. George is many things, an intimidating person isn't one of them.

Again, goes back to the social media gravy train. They're all afraid what will happen if they meet the guy and have to speak ...

(hey, is that guy in the Arby's commercial the same one who did a background check on me a lifetime ago? You betcha!)

Eventually, one of those Lifestylers will interview him and now that they've announced Disney Springs today, that's got to be a morale booster for George and at least get him to do an interview on that subject at hand. I stayed at SS once and quite enjoyed it. It's one of the more exclusive and private WDW resorts so I can see why he and Andy bought a villa there. Wonder if he bought one of those treehouse villas? Weren't he and Andy looking at a place in Golden Oaks? George doesn't even look intimadating (at least in photos), but it's good to know so if I see him I'll give him a hollar. Gee what a coinsedence that a random google image search pic I find just happens to be someone who did a background check on you. LOL.

Speaking of Social Media, I found this story on the Orlando Biz Journal website rating the 10 largest Central Fl employers and where they rank in the social media realm. http://www.bizjournals.com/orlando/...central-floridas-largest.html?s=image_gallery
Guess who's number 1?;) George would be proud! Uni ranked #5 which suprised me cause I'd thought they'd be higher. Also suprised the Parks Blog hasn't typed a blog on this material.

George MIA Kalogridis is just at SS on an extended stay while his Golden Oaks mansion gets built.

Get out of town... That's interesting. I stayed at SS for 3 nights over the past weekend. Too bad I didn't know this, I would have definitely paid more attention while walking around the resort. I totally would have said "hi".

I just watched Meg Crofton and a few other suits quickly go into a CM only area behind the Plaza Restaurant. No sign of George among the herd, though.

That's interesting ... she likely was with Staggs at some point. Why WDW's Prez wasn't, I dunno. Maybe he was trying to sign up Old Navy for a spot at Disney Springs?

I will say that if he doesn't start getting seen some you're going to wind up hearing all sorts of rumors.

Well, I was talking to a friend a while ago and George's living arrangements came up.

I know Disney isn't going to give him a Treehouse or a Grand Villa because even with their execs they're too damn cheap. But I'm wondering whether he's getting a two-bedroom, one or studio.

My money is on two just because no one wants to stay there (I like the place myself!)

I'm sure he's probably in a two-bedroom villa. Unless he is by himself and does not have a family (?). (This I do not know, but I'm sure a two-bedroom would suffice for a solo George or the Kalogridis family).

I also never want to stay there, but my stay last weekend was actually quite enjoyable. As long as I'm in a building that is close to the Artists Palette, the gym, and the main pool, I'm a happy girl. But I'd much rather stay at my home resorts (Boardwalk and Beach Club).

I get the sneaking suspicion that you created this entire thread because you knew in advance that George would be scarce. ;)

Nope.

I'm actually surprised and a bit perplexed by Disney's desire to play keep away with WDW's Prez. He is quite warm and fuzzy with fans and does genuinely care about the product (as much as he is allowed). I understand the excuse that they want him working on NGE ... to some point. I understand the excuse that he hasn't been involved in actual park ops in FL since 2000 (even though he was here from 2002-2006) and they need him looking, learning and questioning.

But none of that is excuse enough to have him hiding.

I still want to know why not one social media or real media member that saw him escorting Governor Voldemort around the New Fantasyland party in early December tried to speak with him or even bothered to ask 'What the hell is DL's Prez doing here looking like he's in charge?''

But I'd never be a good reporter ...
