Where to sit on Airplane?

I was wondering where do you like to sit on the Airplane?
Do you get enough air in a aisle seat? I get sick fast and am overweight!
Which should I choose?
THANKS!

I prefer any seat that allows me inside the plane....i am not much of a fan of the luggage hold or sitting on the wings...

All kidding aside, Emergency Exit rows are my favorite. Lots of leg room. Aisle seats are pretty good too. Another not so bad area, is the very last row of the plane. You have easy bathroom access. The only bad thing about that is you are the last people off the plane (unless it is JetBlue and they let to rear de-plane)

Have a good trip!

Ah yes, the infamous George Carlin bit - "Let Evel Keneval ride ON the plane...I'm riding IN the plane!"

 I agree with the front seat and if you can get that, over the wings. a lot smoother flight. I would also sit on the aisle. My DH got his elbows banged a few times, but seems like more room there, even if there probably isnt. You dont want to get smashed into a window seat by 2 other people, believe me!!

If I am allowed a choice, the only times that I will sit in the middle seat is to act as a buffer between my wife in the window seat... and the other unknown passenger in the aisle seat.

I like the Aisle to Aisle seating arrangement that someone suggested. We are going to try that on our next trip down this spring.

I prefer the window seat. I have been in first class in the front and it did have lots more leg room. It did lack space for the carry-on. With no seat in front and the over the head storage bin hogs, we didn't have too much space for our carry-on.

I'm flying into Orlando Friday!! But don't think I'll make it to WDW. I'll be sure to look out the window and see if I can see WDW from the plane. I have flown into Orlando before, but it was at night and we were the last flight in for the night.

Okay, since I love (most of) you guys :lookaroun , I'll share this site with you. www.seatguru.com They have seat maps for all the major carriers, and will show you which seats are preferred, normal, and undesireable, with the reasons why. It's most helpful.

Thanks for the site info. It is great! I just took a look at it for my flight on Friday and know exactly what seats to avoid. I'm flying Southwest so I hope to get there early enough to get the seat I want!

Lucky for you, Southwest offers online check in up to 24 hrs before your flight. So, set a reminder and print out your boarding card(s) at home. You'll be in boarding group 1 and able to get most any seat you like!

Thanks for the tip! I have only flown Southwest once before and got a colored boarding pass. I'll be sure to check-in before hand. Thanks so much! I really appreciate it!:dazzle:

Window. I just like to plant myself and not be bothered by people getting up and down. Having somewhere to put your head other than the seat back can be nice too.

As a large guy myself, do NOT choose the exit row seats! Yes, you get a few inches more leg room. On most planes you also get less width because the tray tables are held in the armrests, which don't flip up and take up more room. And to be honest, when you're large it's the width that matters, not the legroom.

I usually take a window seat myself, as I like to look out and I can also lean against the side wall or rest. However, again on smaller planes (md-80s/717s, A320s, 737s) the curvature of the wall takes up a little room, too. A lot on a plane such as a Canadair. Also, watch what your window is next to. On MD-80's /717's the last couple of rows sit right next to the engines, so you effectively don't see a darned thing. And also, some exit rows and most last rows have limited or no recline, IF that is important to you.

Personally, I have always wanted to sit way up front. WAY up front. On the left, preferably.
