I was wondering where do you like to sit on the Airplane?
Do you get enough air in a aisle seat? I get sick fast and am overweight!
Which should I choose?
THANKS!

Since I fly airplanes, I don't really stare out the window anymore, so I prefer the aisle. It just feels like there is more room.

If your going to fly coach, try and get the first possible row, often it'll be like row 10. On many airplanes the space between coach and first class is just as much if not more than an exit aisle. Unless of course you're on an airplane that the first row of coach is an exit aisle.

It is always the same for us. My wife by the window, daughter in the middle and me on the aisle. My wife use to get sick on planes and although she has not gotten sick in years upon years wants to be by the window just in case so nobody knows. I like the aisle anyway for leg room.

I agree the wing seats are great for leg room as mentioned but they don't let kids sit there below a certain age which I think is 12. If you don't fly with kids and you can get a seat there the leg room is about double.

I prefer any seat that allows me inside the plane....i am not much of a fan of the luggage hold or sitting on the wings...

All kidding aside, Emergency Exit rows are my favorite. Lots of leg room. Aisle seats are pretty good too. Another not so bad area, is the very last row of the plane. You have easy bathroom access. The only bad thing about that is you are the last people off the plane (unless it is JetBlue and they let to rear de-plane)

Have a good trip!

Not a good palce to sit if someone on the plane is not feeling well! The nasty smell makes for a very unpleasant flight!!! :hurl:

I like window seat, exit or first row. It seems like anytime I travel with my DH I just stuck in the middle seat.

I like to sit in the aisle..I am a bit claustorphobic(sp) and that seat helps me out quite a deal.

I havent flown over WDW but did fly over Universal/Islands directly and seen WDW in the distance, which is not that far... The plane followed I-4 and came west of the airport, headed east and then hit the runway, from the south... This was the only time that a plane I was on did this...

Provided there are no obstructions under in the seat in front I'll go for the window seat. If the seats do not have high backs I can lean up against the side of the fuselage rather than have my head flopping about.

Isle seats are good for freedom, but I get tired of having passers by hit my shoulder. On a long haul flight it gets especially annoying.

You can see it if you are waiting for a runway. Not that we've flown directly over it, but I've been able to pick out a few things. It's pretty cool!
Window. You can watch as you circle Cape Canaverel (with great views of KSC) for 45 minutes waiting for the storm that`s closed MCO to shift so you can finally land after a 9 hour flight. Then you can ooo and awww as the plane makes RnRC seem tame as the pilot flies in literally dodging the multiple thunderheads between the coast and Orlando. Oopps - he didn`t dodge that one!

As fun as that was, I`d say window. Especially on a long haul - it helps break up the boredom. Just try to make sure a window seat is just that; that you arn`t sat next to the fuselage between 2 windows.

I don't get sick, but I'm a larger lady.

I prefer the window seat, since then I can squish myself into the corner.

My mom, though, is a larger lady, and she prefers the aisle seat. She just hangs an arm into the aisle to get comfy. She is also a nervous flier, and she hates looking out the window. Plus, she's a little nosey, so she can keep tabs on the other passengers and the crew.

I don't know about sickness, though. I say pop a Dramamine, sit by the window, and soak in the perspective of flying high. :) Have fun!

I usually see Cape Canaveral flying in from Cincinnati, but have never been able to see WDW flying in. I've seen it before when taking off, but that is when we had a connection in Pensacola and were heading west.

Don't sit in the rear of the plane because as Henry Kissinger once said "The only people who sit in the rear of the plane are people who have diarrhea or are anxious to meet people who do."

Okay, since I love (most of) you guys :lookaroun , I'll share this site with you. www.seatguru.com They have seat maps for all the major carriers, and will show you which seats are preferred, normal, and undesireable, with the reasons why. It's most helpful.

One thing to note, on a few planes the last row does not have a window. Once I was in the very last row of a plane that did not have windows in the last two rows. This can disorient you some when you are turning, since you cannot see where you are going (no windows on either side).

If you are travelling with your spouse, or someone else, you don't really have to get a window seat and a middle seat, like they usually assign you.
You can consider two aisle seats across from each other.
Many times I see the husband sitting in the aisle or window seat while the wife is squished into the middle seat. It's better to get an ailse and a window or two aisle seats across from each other.

When flying alone, I like to get a window seat. You're out of the way, nobody bumps you, you don't have to get up for the other two people to get in/out, and you can lean up against the plane and sleep.

Hurtle through the air at 500 mph and enjoy yourself !

That, and the seats usually don't recline. And it smells like lavatory back there. :hurl:
