Yay, @Eric1955 is here!

How goes the studies?!?

I just finished. The past two weeks were probably the most stressful of my life, but it's over now. I don't think next semester will be as bad, because I'll have a normal schedule without additional courses. The next thee weeks I'll just be taking it easy. I'm considering taking a quick trip down to Orlando for a few days.

Excellent news! Enjoy your three weeks off.

Happy Birthday Goofyernmost. I know how you like to reminisce about the old days, so I baked you a cake to help (or to remind you why you moved down there).

Thanks for the reminder... I feel better about being older then dirt now. However, that looks like a yard full of snow I could get into with the exception of the yellow stuff. My mother always told me never to eat yellow snow. 🤔🤮🙂

Did anyone ever pull a muscle? You went to the doctor and were out of commission for at least a week and likely longer?
That happened to me. I have been in pain since last Thursday. If anyone on the Bob S. Thread has gone thru that before, I would like to ask whoever that is some questions please....learn from your experience. Thanks in advance☺

I pull muscles all the time. Ice and advil initially then heat. Can never say how it takes to recover. Depends if it’s a regular pull or if it’s torn. Personally I don’t go to the doctor right away because I know my body at this point and know what just needs rest. If you’re unsure definitely go.

Yep, that is the one thing about muscles. They repair themselves but only if you let them rest for a little while. That's if it's just muscle. If it is a tendon or joint problems it takes a lot longer and it easily re-injured even after it seems to have healed up. Anyone that has had shoulder problem will vouch for that. They can disappear for a long time and then with just one wrong move, it is back. The lesson to be learned is if you know what you did to cause the muscle pull, just don't do that again.

Funny you say shoulder - my left shoulder is an issue. Not bad enough to have surgery but bad enough that if Inforget it’s weak and try to lift something I hurt it EVERY time.

Been there, still there! I have an excuse though as I am much older then you and I was from the era when you had to pull the cord on the lawnmower a minimum of 12,000 times to get it to start. All it takes is one wrong move. 😩
