Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Maybe they're at the post office?
Oh no, they were actually here. And then they got loaded back on the truck.

Nobody told me I had to detach the old washer and dryer from the pedestals. Delivery guys wouldn’t do it. Wouldn’t wait for me to do it. Wouldn’t take them with the pedestals. Wouldn’t come back.

Lowe’s lost their minds. This is a third party delivery company.

Try again on Monday. Mike can deal with it. And if he tips them, I’ll kill him!

A couple of years ago we bought a dryer from Lowe's. The delivery guys were fairly useless--they were not employees of Lowes, but some private contractor. Hubs ended up correctly hooking up the dryer himself, and he had to get a different hose vent thing, because they brought the wrong one, as well!! :banghead:

I feel your pain. But trust me, you wouldn't want those guys to do anything beyond what they were hired for, as they can't even handle that job.

I also have recurring dreams about staying in a huge house which usually has a few hidden rooms.
I have one where I buy a giant house and most of the rooms are falling apart or unfinished. I could draw you a floorplan at this point as it’s always the same house in the dream with the same shiny blue wallpaper and dirty long pile rugs (can’t use the 70s term - it’s censored) in every room.

All they had to do was take away the old appliances, drop the new ones. I’ve got the Ski for hooking things up.

They wouldn’t drop the new ones, because the old ones needed to be removed from their pedestal bases ... which NOBODY told me, or it would have been done.

CUPW (pronounced cup-W) - Canadian Union of Postal Workers is the union responsible for paid maternity leave being instituted.

Since then, paid leave time has tripled, and can be split between both parents. I’m not sure what Union is claiming credit for that.
I'm not seeing how that is fair unless they got that way while at work. (Workers Comp.) Do men get the equivalent time off with pay? That would be why it cost about $4. to mail a letter in Cananada.

Yes, men can split the ā€œparentalā€ leave. I think it’s up to 61 weeks combined between both parents, per birth. Not sure (but probably) the same amount applies to adoptive parents. The federal gov’t will pay 55% of your wages.

Welcome to Canada - North America’s soon to be Greece.

I think it’s a buck to mail a letter. Not sure, as it’s been FOREVER since I did. Stamps no longer have a dollar/cents amount depicted. A stamp is a stamp is a stamp, as long as you’re mailing to somewhere within Canada. When postal rates go up, old stamps are still worth the value of mailing a letter.

Google says it better:
The PERMANENTā„¢ stamp, identified with the letter P in place of a value, is always accepted at the current domestic postage price. If you buy a PERMANENT stamp today, you can use it anytime in the future. One PERMANENT stamp can be used to mail a letter (weighing up to 30 grams) anywhere in Canada.

Good girl.

I have ā€œforgot to go to classā€ high school dreams.
What's really dumb is that those dreams for me are so unlike me. I was always the good girl, the prude, the one who was responsible and had the homework done, etc. I never would have forgotten a class or just not shown up. In high school, if I was running a bit late, I'd have been panicking, not casually making phone calls, folding laundry, watching TV, etc. Dream me is a bit of a jerk!

Public school teachers as well..
Teachers’ Unions are the strongest unions in the country up here. It is virtually impossible to get fired once you’re in. They also happen to have the most lucrative pension funds.

I know US teachers are grossly underpaid. Here, not so much. It’s really a shame I realized I don’t like kids, and dropped out of University. šŸ˜‚
