Well, it's already October....I don't know about you, but I wouldn't be waiting to plan a December trip until October. I've had my July 2019 trip booked since May. This actually seems really late to me, considering fast pass reservations, ADRs, etc....and anyone who has a trip booked has to now check their itineraries so they don't reserve fastpasses for MK on a party night if they aren't going to the party. So I'm guessing they are just giving people time to plan? Disney, for most people, isn't the kind of place where you can just show up anymore. There are a few for whom that still works, but I'm guessing the majority of people need a bit more planning, and you just can't do that in only a couple of weeks unless you go a lot, and the ads are geared more to the "occassional" or " first time" visitors. They don't need to advertise so much for passholders and people who make regular trips, right? On TV this afternoon was a commercial--a Christmas one(already??!!) from WDW--where you can get all kinds of magic if you go.
