Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

On TV this afternoon was a commercial--a Christmas one :jawdrop: (already??!!) from WDW--where you can get all kinds of magic if you go. ;)
Well, it's already October....I don't know about you, but I wouldn't be waiting to plan a December trip until October. I've had my July 2019 trip booked since May. This actually seems really late to me, considering fast pass reservations, ADRs, etc....and anyone who has a trip booked has to now check their itineraries so they don't reserve fastpasses for MK on a party night if they aren't going to the party. So I'm guessing they are just giving people time to plan? Disney, for most people, isn't the kind of place where you can just show up anymore. There are a few for whom that still works, but I'm guessing the majority of people need a bit more planning, and you just can't do that in only a couple of weeks unless you go a lot, and the ads are geared more to the "occassional" or " first time" visitors. They don't need to advertise so much for passholders and people who make regular trips, right?

I can't give you a like for that!

I wouldn't give me a like for that either! ;) Oh, and another thing--got something in the mail the other day about buying some magic for a winter trip to WDW. (Special "discount" rates, that are still way the heck too expensive!!)

Never received any mailing like that before, not to mention the last time I stayed in a (Disney owned) hotel was probably about 7 years ago. (The Swan is not a Disney-owned hotel, and that's where I've been spending my money.) I've read up in N&R that the projections are soft this fall; I'm beginning to think there's something to that.

Did you get any decent news on Friday?
Not good, not bad. Just let's try this and see if it helps. I'm getting a thirty day continuous wear contact lens to basically hold my cornea stable and give it time to heal. That's option #1. If that doesn't work then we go to the cornea peel. If that doesn't help it may require a cornea transplant. The discouraging thing is this is my right eye. I am right eye dominant and have always considered it to be my "good" eye.

I hope that does the trick for you. I had cornea issues a long time ago and every once in a while my eye reminds me it’s still pretty fragile....

Ugh - let’s hope option 1 works.

Disney question please:
I paid the balance for our Nov. 6th Resort/Parks & Meal Plans. The confirmation e-mail says that each of us will be provided refillable cups. So, we can take that in the theme parks and get free refills at quick service locations???

Doubt it -- I think the cups are for the resort you are staying at , only.

Thank you to both @Andrew C and @MinnieM123
You both gave the same helpful info.

You're welcome. P.S.: I assume you might not want to lug around a refillable mug all day with you, when you're in the parks. It's still really hot down there, and even if you could save some money on drinks, you might find the mug to be a bit of an annoyance. Just be sure to get your money's worth at your resort! ;)

If the answer came back that we COULD bring them in the parks I was gonna post how that wouldn't work because you can't take a cup like that on most or all rides. We go to the parks all day ....until the parks close. When they kick us out of the parks then we go back to Pop Century for showers and sleep. We will for sure not get much use out of those refillable cups. That's ok....we go to Disney for the rides, not to drink from refillable cups.😂

If you’re staying at CSR or CBR, I believe they are also usable at the two water parks.

I love TimTracker.

If I’m going to get soaked on a raft ride, it needs to be worth it. This looks AWESOME!

That looks like fun! :) I fast forwarded through most of his yapping (many of those on-ride, YouTube video guys drive me nuts), but I did get the gist of the ride. Looks so much better than Kali over in AK. (I only rode Kali once when it first opened some years ago, and I was underwhelmed.)
