Fun fact: We should be celebrating Independence Day on July 2nd, which is the day the Continental Congress voted to become independent, and drafted the Declaration of Independence. The final draft was approved on July 4th, which is why we celebrate that day, but the actual vote declaring independence happened on the 2nd.
