Ice storm coming tomorrow night into Tuesday... we are right on the edge of the freezing line, so we might get ice, we might get just rain. Then later in the week we are supposed to get more snow/wintry mix. I'm so done with winter. It was fine up until a few weeks ago. Very warm, actually. Now it's a new weather event every week.

The good news is, March begins next week. And when March begins, it signifies the beginning of the end of winter. At least it should, anyway.

@JenniferS , have you been watching the Olympics? I like the Canadian (two-man) bobsled team. in addition to some other athletes from Canada. Another thing I like are the creative and attractive designs on the (spandex?) sports suits that the athletes (from various countries) wear in so many of the winter sports (skiing, luge, bobsled, speed skating, etc.). The sporty designs on the black ones on the 2-men bobsled team were especially cool.

Although I've missed a lot of the events, I'm really having fun watching what I can so far. I'll see more today--it's a holiday here, so more TV time for me!

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Yum! What are we looking at here? Is that Salisbury steak? And what is that amazing looking dessert? Want. That.
The steak is not on the regular menu. I said I was going to get it, and then Mike said, okay he’ll get something else, in case I don’t like the sauce. And I said, no, no, you get it, I’ll get something else.

If you know us, this went on for ten minutes. 😂
Finally, I told him fine, we’ll both get it. And then right after he ordered, I switched to pasta. (Which he had to know I would do. I mean it’s only been 32+ years.)

Anyway, good call on my part. I wasn’t crazy about the sauce. Too sweet/smoky. The steak itself was good though. Not Salisbury -

I didn’t have any. (Not even a taste!) This isn’t really my kind of dessert. And 1430 calories ... umm, pass.

I haven’t seen a moment of the games yet. Should the men (like the women 🙂) make it to the gold medal hockey game, I’ll probably have to watch a few minutes.

I’m not a fan of the Olympics anymore. I think the whole system is flawed, plagued with corruption, and rife with cheaters.

For Canadians, it all started with Ben Johnson being stripped of his 100m gold medal. It’s one of those Canadian “Do you remember where you were when you heard?” moments. The nonsense in Sochi was just the icing on the cupcake. I don’t trust the integrity of the games anymore. I also don’t like how entire nations practically bankrupt themselves for the privilege of hosting.

I check the standings every day to see how my nation is faring, as that is the patriotic thing to do; but truth is, but for comparing our medal count to yours, I couldn’t care less. (If you’re not Canadian, none of this last sentence will make any sense. If you are Canadian, or have close relatives in Canada, you will just sit there and nod your head. 😂)

I remember when the Florida Panthers had Peter Worrell. We always loved to see him get into fights because that was kind of his thing.
Smith-Pelly isn't an enforcer like Worrell was. All they had in common was being targets of racism.

The Capitals' enforcers now and in the past have mostly been white, including one (Craig Berube) who called Worrell a monkey.

I hope Worrell got a chance to knock that guy’s teeth out.

It all looks really good! What kind of pasta did you end up getting?
Now that I know what the dessert is, I can make it myself! I just made brownies over the weekend...or...well, DD ended up doing 95% of the work, and we always eat them with vanilla ice cream and I put caramel sauce on mine rather than peaunute butter and baileys, but I might add some pretzels and marshmallows next time!
