Spilling the tea on why full cash refunds were offered … better!

OK, I’ll just get this one outta’ the way right now…
One word…bugs.
Small bugs of the roach variety.
As I’ve posted, we’ve been on 5 Carnival cruises now…no impolite fellow passengers to speak of (as a matter of fact most, including us, went out of their way to be polite), definitely no impolite crew members, no falling down drunks, no drunken brawls, etc., etc., etc.
But, for the first time…bugs.
It was not a huge infestation by any means, but we all know how quickly these things can get out of hand.
Megan took pics and video, to show maintenance (and they also witnessed them).
The general consensus was that previous cruisers in that stateroom probably had an infestation in some luggage they grabbed from their attic, garage, basement, etc.
There was originally talk of them moving to another room, but that presented another issue…as it was a sold out cruise, there were no more outboard staterooms like the kind they needed left on the ship.
We initially tried to get adjoining staterooms, but we ended up separated by 1 stateroom.
Anyway, they initially ended up with the $150 gift card. We used that at Emeril’s Bistro 717 for lunch on Friday. We ended up using just short of $120, so Megan put the remaining $30+ towards the lunch of another family…!!!!!

After we got our food at Emeril’s is when the kids told us they got a full refund in
CASH…!!!!!!! 

There were several times I mentioned full refund and, lo and behold, they got one…!!!

Maintenance just never could seem to get the situation 100% under control while the kids were occupying the stateroom.
Which makes me wonder…
What about the next cruise, which was leaving at 4p yesterday, not very long after we disembarked…?!
