Out of curiosity, what's the population where you live? I grew up in a town with about 1200 people, so it was all one postal code as well. One elementary school, one Junior/Senior high school, and we HAD a grocery store, but it was pretty limited. Most people went shopping in the next town over, that was 40 miles away. We had a loop that went around the housing section and that road was 2 miles long. We called it "the loop" and that's where the kids go cruising on weekends, and then they go park either at the elementary school parking lot, or the empty field across from it and hang out. (I was never allowed to go there because my mom didn't want me to get a "reputation".) I'm wondering if where you grew up or where you are now is similar.

It was this bakery in Brussels. Now in the Hague which didn't give off good vibes coming in but it turned around.

I still live where I grew up, and we're a population of about 11,000. We're a small town, but the biggest small town in the area. We're like the "hub" for other small towns around us. The town I work in is around 5,000, and that's the second biggest city until you start getting closer to Madison.

I heard that on the radio earlier today in my car, when I was out running an errand. Sad, and she had been in hospice for a while due to Alzheimer’s.
They played an audio clip from the old “Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In” TV show.
You know, where Ruth Buzzi would be on the park bench and Arte Johnson’s dirty old man character would show up.
He asked her “Do you believe in the hereafter…?”
Her answer was “Yes, of course…!”
His reply was “Then you know what I’m here after…!”
Then she would beat him with her handbag…!!!!!
I about ran off the road I was laughing so hard…!!!!!
May she RIP.

Oof....when did you get there? There was quite a riot 2 nights ago in Scheveningen, which is the beach adjacent to the Hague, and there was heavy police presence there. If you came in amidst all that, I don't suppose it was very....welcoming.

Oh, so you are WAY bigger than where I grew up. So I'm assuming you have all the necessities there, like doctors, dentists, hospital, etc. We always had to travel for that kind of stuff. We had a doctor for a while, then the doctor moved, and we had to go to the next town over, then we did get a doctor again when I was in college. My mom went 100 miles away to get her cancer treatment. It's not ideal.

Is this the Keukenhof? I've never been there, but it looks beautiful.
We have a hospital and a couple dentists. However, none of the dentists here are covered by my insurance, so I have to go somewhere else.
