Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

@MinnieM123 , as you well know, I love cars in general, but I really have a special place in my heart for the old, old antiques (some consider a car an antique at as much as 30 years old, others less - really, a 1995 model car is an “antique”…?!?!?! 🤪 :cyclops:).
Anyway, In later years, my grandparents on my Moms side owned 4 vehicles (other than their 3 tractors ;)).
A 1974 Ford LTD daily driver, a 1929 Ford Model A (which was a topless rust bucket when I first rode in it through the pasture as a child, and then my grandfather spent 4 years fully restoring it - even driving it in several hometown 4th of July parades), a 1953 Ford F-350 Golden Anniversary truck and a 1954 Ford Custom sedan.

The pic below is from the internet, but it’s pretty much an exact twin to how my grandfather restored his 1929 Model A…!!! :)

The next pic is of the actual semi-restored 1953 Ford F-350, that Mom inherited, on my folks driveway…!!! :)

The next pic is from the internet, but it’s pretty much the Ford Custom sedan, including the windshield visor, but minus the fender mirrors and it was a darker blue…!!! :)

The Model A and the Custom sedan were sold shortly after my grandmother passed (my grandfather had passed a few years earlier), and my Mom sold the F-350 several years ago.
Good memories, though…!!!!! :happy::)
Ski’s car must be an antique then.
1991 Pontiac Firebird Trash Am. He had to finally move it out of the driveway. It runs (ish) but it needs a lot of work right now, so it’s only insured for fire and theft. Cheaper to pay for a tow.

He’s storing it out at a buddy’s farm for now. He’s had multiple people pursuing him to buy it, but he refuses to sell.

We made a detour on the way back to Lindsay tonight.

Today is the one year anniversary of Mike’s brother’s sudden and unexpected passing. We’ve had a Ziploc bag of his ashes for 10 months that his wife wanted spread at the convent where he worked for more than 35 years. Same convent where we got married.

So, that’s what we did.

We’re back at the apartment now because we work tomorrow, but Mike has to head back on Sunday night because the house STILL isn’t ready to list. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Also, I was removing a rusty nail with the claw of a hammer today and slipped and sliced my finger. Bled like a son of a gun and probably needed one itsy bitsy stitch. Ain’t nobody got time for that.

My tetanus shot is up to date, so antibiotic cream and a couple of bandaids and I’m good as new.

I used to work with a dude, several years ago, that was one of 5 partners in a downtown Austin restaurant called “Bacon”. Not everything they served was bacon-centric, but it was, obviously, their main focus.
About once a month, he would bring breakfast for everyone to the office…biscuits with bacon gravy, and extra bacon…!!!!! :hungry: :hilarious:

My mom never made it when I was growing up, but it was a thing in restaurants, and obviously Wyoming is not in the South, so I don't think it's entirely a Southern thing, though it may have originated there. I am a fairly picky eater and I don't eat condiments like ketchup, mustard, mayo, etc, and I'm very picky about sauces. They have to be warm. But when I was growing up, I wouldn't eat any kind of gravy, so I never had biscuits and gravy until I was an adult, but now I love them and whenever I'm in the US, I pick up some gravy mix to bring back since it's not a thing here.

Yea, antique…for sure…

IMG_4003.jpeg

Or, antique…?!?!?!
IMHO, not so much…!!! ;)

IMG_3431.jpeg

You make the call…!!!!! :hilarious: ;)

But, depending on what engine option it has, and the overall condition it’s in (which doesn’t look bad from your pics), there’s this info, regarding engine options for that model year, and potential value…!!! :)

Yea, I never regarded it as a southern thing when I was younger, as I thought everyone ate it, from time to time…plus, I’ve always LOVED gravy…especially pepper sausage gravy…!!!!!!! :joyfull::hungry::hilarious:

On a side note…
I, and my youngest bro, ate everything our dear Mother ever put on the table…liver and onions, Lima beans, Brussels sprouts (when they weren’t so popular ;)), etc. We were all very active with sports, and such, back then and needed to fill our bellies…but Moms cooking was, and still is, awesome…!!!!! :hungry:
My middle bro, however, was a picky eater.
But, no concessions were ever made for him…eat what your mother lovingly put on the table, or go hungry.
He went hungry more than once, but the funny thing is he now adoringly eats many of the things that repulsed him as a kid…!!!!! 🤪 :hilarious:;)

@MinnieM123 , I’m currently watching Roadkill on Motor Trend, and the one dude is wearing the t-shirt that I meant to order months ago when I first saw him wearing it…“1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2”…the cylinder firing order of classic Chevy small block and big block motors…!!!!! :hilarious:
Talk about an obscure t-shirt…I’m betting about 99.99999999999-ish% of people in the USA have no clue what it even refers to…!!!!!!! :joyfull:🤣;):)

The gear head in me is still alive. I got it the second I saw it.
