Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Must be.

I had toast for breakfast today, and oatmeal yesterday. Last weekend, I made Egg McMuffins. Because I used to work in McDonald's. :)
Don't get me wrong, it is not an everyday thing. It is a bit of a pain. Bake the biscuits, cook the sausage, make the gravy, make the eggs. But it was what she wanted. I just realized she has gotten a customized breakfast every day since the ER. In the last week I have done eggs over easy with hash browns, bacon and toast. Pancakes with bacon. Waffles with sausage and fruit. Biscuits and sausage gravy with scrambled eggs. Eggs benedict with hollandaise sauce over toasted English muffins. Normally I would do one to two of these a week. She really does have me rapped around her finger. I just realized I also made her zucchini bread with scrambled eggs. Am I running a restaurant?

No, you're just a very devoted husband.

Or, well maybe. 😂

Yep, pretty devoted. I am just glad Grandma and Mom taught me to cook. When she could walk, she did 99% of the cooking. Now it is all me. Don't get thinking frozen dinners, a frozen pizza, or some corn dogs in the air fryer don't make the menu. It helps that I do love to cook and bake.

Can't figure out why they didn't just keep the older, more elegant costumes to begin with?! :( Sigh.
I don't get it either. I wonder what the singers think of them. When we were at Disney in 2023, we talked to some of the singers and were told that they were working on "updating" the costumes to a more modern style. But I can't figure out why they would use this particular style...it's not at all historical. No one ever wore things that looked like this...it's a cartoon version of the historical clothing and isn't accurate. I would be so disappointed if I were one of the singers having worn the old costumes that were beautiful and actually historically accurate and now had to wear this satirized cheap imitation. So sad.

I 100% agree!! NO update was needed, and the new ones just look like "costumes" to me. :banghead:

And what the heck is Texas sheet cake?

I'm almost afraid to ask.
Well, I know sheet cakes are the cakes you make in a rectangular pan rather than round pans. They are generally less thick because they aren't layered. What the difference is between a standard sheet cake is and a Texas sheet cake, I don't know. My mom always made sheet cakes for our birthdays growing up for the longest time. We got to choose the flavor and I always chose chocolate, but my brother had a friend who was hypoglocemic (is that how you spell it?) and couldn't have regular cake, but for some reason he could have angel food cake. So my mom made angel food for my brother's birthday so that this kid could have cake, and since then, she always just made an angel food cake so she didn't have to decorate a cake anymore. But I grew up with sheet cake, and we lived in Wyoming. I never heard it referred to as Texas Sheet Cake, so I'm not sure if there's a difference.

Thank you sir. You were an inspiration.

You are correct, sir!

Texas Sheet Cakes are baked in a jelly roll pan (a large shallow pan) so they are thinner than traditional cake and bake faster. They are typically chocolate with a fudge icing that is poured over the cake while it is still warm. Some recipes call for pecans on top of the icing, some call for a tablespoon of coffee in the mix.

They are similar to iced brownies but with a lighter, less dense texture.

I haven’t made one in years. Time to get baking!
