I heard that a Tuppence a day will also feed small flock of birds.Ftfy
Today was a school-wide "Christmas Comfy" day. Yesterday 1st grade had their Polar Express Day, where students wear pajamas like in the movie. So I wore a Christmas onesie two days in a row.PJ’s on Christmas Eve? Where do I sign up?
I played trumpet in the lunchroom at both of my schools. This morning we started with a school-wide assembly. One of our music teachers led the school in Christmas carols. Then we had "Reindeer Races". Each team had a teacher sit on a scooter, while another pulled them using pool noodles. I was the one pulling for our team. We won the first heat of the 4K, Kindergarten, and 1st grade teachers. We lost the final round against the 4th grade team, but only because my teammate fell off the scooter. During the first round, I may have thrown her into a wall, but she gave me full permission to go as fast as I could. Also, on the second round a group of third graders started chanting my name, so it got half the school rooting for me. It took me a while to register what they were doing, I was so focused.
Separate story... a couple in town always hosts the entire district staff for a holiday party. They provide good, drinks, and they do a "gift card lottery" every year. This year they had 7 winners, with each gift card being $50. I won a Culver's gift card. I was the last winner. For those that don't know, Culver's is a popular fast food chain that originated in Wisconsin. 3 of the 4 first grade teachers went to the party, and all three won. Pretty lucky!
Have a fabulous trip and a very Merry Christmas! Hoping you share some beautiful pics when you get back.I played trumpet in the lunchroom at both of my schools.
Elementary kids sang along : Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman and Santa Claus is Coming to Town.
Great fun!

Arriving back at Miami Sunday Dec. 29th

As long as there are no issues with our flight, we'll enjoy that cruise without paying for any wifi. So if I'm off of here for a week now you know the reason.

Tree is done.
Are y’all a “one ornament per branch” precise placer or a “load ‘em up, I don’t need to see any greenery” decorator?
I lean towards the latter.

And please don’t point out that our tree is leaning. I know. My beloved bought a rotating tree stand (he loves ‘em, we’ve had one spinning our Disney tree for years) and I’m not sure if the quality of stands has slipped (entirely possible) or if this pencil tree just doesn’t have enough weight to rotate in a stable manner, but tomorrow am we will be realigning the tree in this stand and it will remain stationary.
I made a little video for y’all of the tree rotating, but it’s too large to upload, even though it’s only :45
