How was today's amount of Trick or Treaters at your homes?
None, our town does a big trunk or treat event and my husband sets up a table at that. I stay home and keep the porch light off. The trunk or treat event had to move inside this year because of weather (rain/snow mix), so my husband offered the church he is a pastor at to hold the event. He just got home and said that people appreciated it being indoors and there were about 450 people that came through.
How was your turn out?

About 40 (?), so far, which is many more than our old neighborhood in recent years.
Granted, we were the very last home at the end of a dead end street in our old neighborhood, and most of the kiddos had grown up.
Back when our kiddos were younger, we used to have a small block party in the dead end (weather permitting), and it was always great fun…!!!
In our new neighborhood, our home is on a prominent corner. It’s a neighborhood with many young families in their first homes, and others, like ourselves, who are nearing full retirement.
Also, we put up way more Halloween decorations than we have in years, and Carolyn already has major plans for Christmas…!!!!!
Anyway, we’ve only been here since the first of this year, so we didn’t know what to expect, but it’s been a good and fun night…!!!

Good. Thanks for asking. Even in the dark the temperature was over 70F. Additionally, it didn't rain for the 29th day in a row so the warm and dry conditions were ideal for Trick or Treating.

Sixty-five trick or treaters -- doorbell constantly ringing. It was the oddball warmer weather day, so they were all out last night. Hubs likes the social butterfly interaction, so he hands out the candy. (I hid out upstairs watching TV -- but first, I grabbed a bunch of candy to bring upstairs with me! 
)

Some more pics from last night…
Carolyn (DWifey) picked up the glowing ghost below, on our shoe caddy in the entry, from the Goodwill that our special needs son (Matthew) works at, for $2.
Of course, the original light didn’t work. Carolyn was disappointed, but I had an idea. I suggested I just remove the original light and battery unit and we order some of those color-changing tea lights. Carolyn was very happy with the result, and I banked more “hubby points”…!!!!!
The pumpkins on our entry porch…
Minnie and Mickey pumpkins on Matthew’s bedroom outdoor window sill…
Ghosties in the shrubs…
We put some more tea lights in the bird bath (came with the home), that we had planted flowers in during the spring…
And a wide shot…
We ended up having about 55+ trick or treaters, and once Carolyn got back from trick or treating with Emmy and Audrey, and the rest, she made sure she handed out the rest of the candy…!!!!!

One of my favorite once a year activities has begun again. I am on my break as a volleyball

I live in a pass required entry apartment building so no one at all, for the 5th consecutive year.
I only semi-enjoyed trick or treating when I was a kid. Back in those days it was confined to neighborhoods and every one in our block knew everyone else so each house required a time for them to try and guess who we were and then had to take off the mask so they could check, then had to answer about how our parents were before we could proceed to the next place. As you my have figured out by now that caused a major shortfall in candy accumulation. Also there were an awful lot of popcorn balls that we all hated. I have seen some of the hauls that my grandkids have gotten and man, one half hour trip out added up to 5 times more than we ever got. Of course, we also were able to go out on our own, where as even when my kids were young it required a parent to go with them. Not like it is now and the only reason why I went out with them was so I didn't have to keep handing out candy and acting like their costumes were terrifying. My mother used to come to our place. She was only 4'10'' tall so she had a mask and went to the doors with my girls and also collected candy. She had a great time.
