My mattress came today. I just unboxed it and put it out. Moved my old mattress to the second bedroom. I was going to put bedding on it, but I was so hungry and had to stop for a snack. Will it get done tonight? Tbd.
Update: Yes, it did. The second bedroom is done, but I hate the old bedding I had. I might have to upgrade that. I'm now waiting for other bedding to dry to put on the new mattress.

I usually wrap gifts on the floor while watching Christmas movies:joyfull: but the rule in my house is no shoveling if your birth year starts with 19 if you're female:angelic:
I've seen articles where anyone shouldn't shovel snow after 45

That's how my grandfather died. He tried to shovel snow when he didn't have to. He made it the new millennium though which is what he wanted. Never talked about his time WWIi.

You probably don't know all the words to the songs, but during one of the songs, they are spreading rumors about the wicked witch, and one of the people says "I hear her soul is so unclean, pure water can melt her!" and Fiero turns to Glinda, and says "People will believe ANYTHING!! Water will MELT her??" And I think there was a part at the very end where Elphaba says she wishes she could let Glinda know she survived or something? And she left behind the green bottle, which in the first movie, she shows Glinda the bottle when they become friends and they are telling each other their secrets...and the bottle was her mother's. Her mother died in childbirth with Nessa Rose. Anyway, I think she leaves the bottle as kind of a message. And the place where they ended up was the place all the animals were trying to escape to through that hole because Oz was no longer safe for them. I'm pretty sure she didn't really die....but since people thought water would melt her, they used that and she was able to go through a trap door that made it look like she melted.
Could very well be true, but I can't figure out the barron, dead looking area that they were both walking through together. I didn't look anything like the surroundings that OZ was located in. 🤔🥶

I was going to enter a FIFA World Cup lottery today. But they automatically charge your credit card if you're successful.

And official ticket prices through FIFA have gone up. I feel bad for those overseas who are used to low prices and instead get price gouging for everything. Hotels. Food, etc.

And forget about StubHub. This is the England vs Ghana match in "Boston" 35 miles away from the city 🤣

That's why I moved to North Carolina. Yup, it was one of the best mental excuses I could think of. After all, I spent 63 years of my life up'ar in the ice, snow and sub-zero belt so it was hard to cut that cord and hit the road or as the Beatles so nicely put it "I'll follow the sun".

I started hating winter about the time that I had to be out in it on a daily basis which went back at least 40 years. I wanted to move in the 80's but ran into massive wife and children backlash so I had to wait. Ironically it was my children that protested the most only for them to move down here before I did. With all my immediate family gone there really was no reason left for me to stay in the cold and, I might add, it didn't want to stay in it.

She told me multiple times that I didn't sound like I was interested. And she kept saying how it was a lot of money. So I think she's leaning towards no. It's also very rare that I think of something that will actually surprise her, and this is a "different" type of gift that I was excited to give. So I really don't want to tell her about it now if I can help it. My tickets are on a different day than the ones she's asking about. So hypothetically I could go twice if I could find somebody else to go.

What are the odds that my aunt would ask about this? 🙃
Maybe call your aunt and give her the heads up 🤷‍♀️

First snow of the season might be this weekend!!
Went out to breakfast with my daughters family and as I was driving home it started to spit a few flakes of snow. And then, all of a sudden it occurred to me that I forgot to have my winter tires put on. That was quickly followed by, wait a minute, I no longer switch tires in the winter. It will be cold for a few days and then the warmth will return. That kind of winter is tolerable.

I do remember those words at some point but without the point of reference that the first movie allegedly would have provided, it was just words that meant practically nothing when I was watching it.
