Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Black widow spiders, no thanks.
You know what, I have never even seen a black widow spider in my whole life. I have seen some spiders that looked big enough to pick up a car, but they were all bug eaters. They built webs the size of a VW Beetle. I killed one spider in my bathroom that looked huge and I swatted it and it wasn't just a spider it was made up of what looked like thousands of baby spiders she was carrying on her back. I had to do a mass Araneae murder that day and before they managed to find a hiding spot. It's one of those situation when what looks like little spots of dirt start moving in every direction.

Sure but up there they weren't much more that worms with a thyroid problem.
There are 17 species of snakes in Ontario, only one of which is venomous. Even then, not very venomous at all.

From Google:
Only two people, however, have ever died in Ontario from a massasauga bite, both more than 40 years ago. In comparison, six to 12 people die from lightning strikes each year in Canada.

That being said, I’d rather NOT be bitten by any kind of snake. Being hit by lightning is not very appealing either.

I just ordered an outdoor pouf ottoman, too, since this set didn't come with an ottoman. I was looking at another set that was a comparable price. The chairs sat lower to the ground, but were a bit bigger, and I didn't know if they would fit. I'm glad I didn't get them because I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have.

PUSH, I'm glad you're enjoying some nice weather in your area this weekend, and can try out your new outdoor furniture.

Very nice gesture but Memorial Day is for those that didn't come home or did but didn't survive their injuries. Veterans Day is for the rest of us. It has morphed into those that we knew that have passed away for whatever reason, which is good too. If we are alive and have had the opportunity of a good life, we really shouldn't to be memorialized. Like I said our day is Veterans Day.

Memorial Day is also for who served who passed away to include by suicide. I still recall my friend John who was drafted at 18 years old , served in the infantry in Vietnam 1967-68 and haunted by memories for the next 26 years until he found his peace.

Yup, still connected to PTSD related to war action and those that died due to those injuries.

Easier in Canada - one day. Remembrance Day on November 11th. We honour those who serve, those who have served, those who died in service.

We wear poppies, and at 11:00 am, things pretty much grind to a halt for two minutes of silence following the playing of the Last Post and Reveille.

Mike, Tammy, and I were at breakfast in WDW one year on November 11th, and of habit, observed the two minutes of silence at 11:00. We were surprised to discover it’s not really a thing in your country. Your day for that is today, I assume.

PTSD is a mental health condition triggered by traumatic events. How can that be classified as an actual injury?
No war, no fighting, no gore, mutilation, death or constant fear of death equals no PTSD. At least not to the same degree. You keep mentioning "friends" that had this or that experience, so it is obvious that you personally have never had the joy of participating in a situation where a whole group of people, you don't know, are aggressively, actively trying to kill you or you would not make a statement like that. Living everyday of your life with that real vision hanging over your head can be considered worse than death because it just doesn't freaking end thus the high suicide rate. That anxiety might have been eased if people that never experienced it would stop thinking, hey, it's just a mental illness, snap out of it.

Take a chill pill and no need to overreact. My friend the Vietnam vet was a manager I reported to in my younger days. He did say I will never forget it that his biggest accomplishment is he survived his tour in Nam but a number of his buddies did not.

Wind your neck in . The poster you are telling to "take a chill pill" is a veteran himself. Given the past weekend a little empathy might be better suited here.
PTSD is a huge issue in the military and for me to state that its a mental illness ( fact ) apparently set him off among other things . One former peer of mine at work served in Desert Storm came back with PTSD and got help after quitting his job, relatives of mine who served got the help they needed etc so I'm somewhat familiar on the subject.

Unless you work in mental health or have had PTSD yourself it's all conjecture on your part. Talking to a veteran the way you do is just disrespectful
