We really like the Big Bang Theory, and we were watching it together every day. My son now HATES Sheldon, because there was an episode where he shouts spoilers about Harry Potter to Leonard, and A didn't know those things because he hasn't read/seen beyond the 4th book/movie. He was SO upset, he just started crying and says he hates Sheldon now. Months later, he'll still say Sheldon's a jerk, because he spoiled HP.

Does meeting Dennis Rodman super freak and NBA Hall of Fame honors count too? I met him when I was at the same hotel resort the Chicago Bulls stayed at in the playoffs back in the day. Between the female groupies that were visibly with some of the players , Jordan gambling with his group, Dennis Rodman was a nice guy even though looking at his eyes and speech he was definitely under some substances.

My brush with a sports celebrity was literally a brush. I was standing in line for an autograph from Don Cherry. He wasn’t behind a table, just sitting in a chair and the line was to his right hand side.

As I approached, he asked “To whom do I write it?” And I answered “To Mike”.

He replied, “You don’t sound like a Mike” and turned to face me … and turned smack right into the side of my breast as I was leaning over to hand him the book. Oopsie.

30 years later, he gets fired by CBC. Coincidence.

I know. I keep checking the weather and watching YouTube videos and texting and messaging Bestie non-stop with food pics, screen shots from the DL FB group, and generally being a pest.

I’ve also done two at home rapid antigen tests already (next one will be tomorrow) and I’ve been in lockdown since Friday. The Ski won’t stay out of my breathing space so I have threatened to stay naked on the couch until my pre-departure test on Saturday. He beat a hasty retreat. Mike, on the other hand, came running into the living room.

I met Leroy Butler when I was student teaching. He spoke at the school I was at, except the kindergarteners weren't invited. So he came around to all the kindergarten classes to say hi and take a picture. I shook his hand and he asked what I did. I said I was student teaching, and he told me he did, too, since he went to school to become a teacher. We talked about education a little bit. Pretty cool.

I saw Nick Mangold, former center for the NY Jets, in the Magic Kingdom. His people whooshed him in through the exit of 7DMT. Kinda hard to miss a 6'4" guy with a sorcerer Mickey had and a kid on his shoulders.
