Sympathy like.Starting Monday I'll have to get up early 4 days of the week. I'm too young for this carp. These are my prime sleeping years!

They shut down all the schools around here last night when they were predicting the snow to hit at 6A. It didn't start snowing until noon....We were on the edge of snow and freezing. Over night (or at least while I was sleeping) we got some wet, heavy snow. Then in the late morning into the afternoon we got freezing rain.
Well, the location of the dryer is a problem and causes some pretty sharp turns in the pipe going out, but it seems to be getting a lot through it and the machine itself isn't getting really warm on the outside while it's running. It's hard to tell about the inside cause it has that cool down cycle so it's hard to get a good reading. That is the problem with apartment living, you have to take what they have for connections. Mine doesn't line up properly, but, it is about the same as my old 20 year old dryer and that one worked fine. There not coming out dripping wet, just damp. Another 10 minutes and they are fine. I'm going to try pulling it a little further away from the wall and see if that helps. I may have to do some major surgery to the outlet for it to work the way it should. We're not having that issue with ours. I wonder if your vent is partially clogged and the back lash is causing the electronics to cut down on the temperature so it's not drying stuff all the way. DW even dries horse blankets in ours and they do dry all the way!
All schools around here announced they were closed last night, too. I was supposed to do an orientation for pre-student teaching at a nearby elementary school this morning, but they closed so we are going tomorrow morning. They shut down all the schools around here last night when they were predicting the snow to hit at 6A. Our school board used to do the same thing. They shut down all the schools around here last night when they were predicting the snow to hit at 6A. It didn't start snowing until noon....
Is yours gas? We heat with propane, so we had to get an electric dryer. I don't know if that makes a difference.Well, the location of the dryer is a problem and causes some pretty sharp turns in the pipe going out, but it seems to be getting a lot through it and the machine itself isn't getting really warm on the outside while it's running. When I was in school I hated when they announced they were closed after I had taken a shower in the morning. Because I can't go back to sleep after that. Our school board used to do the same thing.
Their reasoning was that getting home safely was equally important as getting to school safely.
Makes sense, of course. Only once did the storm fail to roll in at all, making it a totally wasted "snow day".
If you are sure that it not the fault of the machine, try poking around the hose with a coat hanger. If you can't get far enough in, or are otherwise unable to clear the blockage, get building maintenance to look into it.Well, the location of the dryer is a problem and causes some pretty sharp turns in the pipe going out, but it seems to be getting a lot through it and the machine itself isn't getting really warm on the outside while it's running. Yeah, that too. When I was in school I hated when they announced they were closed after I had taken a shower in the morning. Because I can't go back to sleep after that.
No, it's electric. We can't even have a propane grill around here. Something about being ah-scared of a fire or the like. Everything is electric. The apartments all have fireplaces though, which worries me a tad. I don't have one because I am on the bottom floor and any building over 3 floors cannot have one on the first floor. No reasonable reason has ever been forth coming, just a city ordnance. Is yours gas? We heat with propane, so we had to get an electric dryer. I don't know if that makes a difference.
When I was in school if the main road was passable in a school bus, school was open. Pesky details like every other road still being a mess didn't matter. And my school was in the news for doing again so some things never change. Our school board used to do the same thing.

It's not lint... I just had it checked and it is clear, but, there is the outlet problem and if a person were as skinny as a rail they couldn't really get in behind it to straighten anything out. My next load will be with it pulled a couple of feet away from the rear wall. That should let me know if it is a problem from there or not. Like I said, if it isn't venting properly, the machine itself should be really warm to the touch. It is not.If you are sure that it not the fault of the machine, try poking around the hose with a coat hanger. Dryer lint is highly flammable. A clogged vent hose is a fire hazard, putting you and the other residents at risk.
Excessive dryer ductwork can also be an issue. The flexible duct work should be just long enough to work...Too much can cause kinks and blockages. Thus lowering efficiency and danger. No, it's electric. We can't even have a propane grill around here. Something about being ah-scared of a fire or the like. Everything is electric. So does anybody have a High Efficiency Washing Machine? Thoughts?
We have LGs. DW loves them (washer & dryer).
I'm going to have to buy a new washer this week...
Looks like my only real option is to go HE.
So you are unable to provide a second opinion on whether I should get something from that gelato place?
yes pleaseI've also heard good things about Samsung. When I get a minute I'll send you the Consumer Reports reviews if you want.
Well you either have to try the new place by me and offer a comparison or I need 2 opinions. Try the burnt caramel if you choose the former.Yes - love it.
LG also. No issues in 10 years except hubby had to replace some control thingy that cost $30 and he did it himself (gotta love YouTube.)

Mine isn't enough?! You need a second?! HMPF. No slurp for you!!!
We've had a Samsung washer for about a year now and it does a good job. Much better than the Frigidaire that was chewing holes in clothes. Have had two dryers that start out okay but as they age they lose the ability to dry clothes completely every time. One was a Kenmore and the other is are current Frigidaire.yes please
Wisconsin cheese curds are the best. The best I've ever had are at a local fair that comes around once a year, the weekend after Labor Day. I go only for the cheese curds. Then I leave.
I tried to set up a schedule in the Sageteer break room, but you all had to deface it and let the goat eat it.It's funny how sometimes we can fill two pages in 15 minutes and other times it takes a full day for one page. You just can't get us all on here at the same time!
