We have a two hour delay too. I was kind of hoping they would decide to close, but I don't think that is going to happen. Booo, I wanted to watch Disney movies all day again today. Now I have to go to work and teach about earthquakes and the muscular system. Why can't there be fun Disney movies about those.
The school I'll be going to ended up cancelling all day. The school my mom works at is the only one in the area that didn't have any type of cancellation. Unfortunately I still have to go to my one class today.

Sure, but if I kept watching it for 15 straight years I assume it would get old.
How different is it from 2000?
The newer seasons are better IMO. A lot more strategy and gameplay. A lot less "I don't like your attitude, so you're the next to go home." They've also gotten a lot better at casting, which is what makes or breaks a season.

Maybe I will give it a try...for an episode or two...
I could write a book on the evolution of Survivor. Back then it was much more about survival. Now it's more about strategic, social and physical gameplay. There are alliances, scheming, blindsides, immunity idols, etc thrown in that make it a lot more dramatic and exciting.

It's true. That's how I got hooked. Season 26. I remember the obsession vividly. Since then I have watch seasons 27-31 as they've aired and seasons 1-20 between those seasons. Actually, I don't think I started watching old seasons until after season 28. So really I've watched 20 seasons over two summers and two winter breaks (since I don't watch old seasons during current seasons). That means I've watched 20 seasons in about the span of 8 months. Give or take a couple. That's kind of sad. Only 5 more seasons to go before I've seen them all! And that will probably get accomplished over the summer.
I just Googled the air date for season 26, and it was February 13, 2013. It's almost my three year anniversary of being a Survivor fan!
