Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Remote update - after stalling for a week or two, Hubby rolled his eyes at me, and changed the batteries. While slightly better, the remote was still requiring Herculean effort to push the buttons.

A couple of weeks later, Avery needed batteries for his X-Box controller, and swiped my remote batteries. New batteries ... no improvement.

Our internet modem crapped out last night, so at the last second, on my out the door to exchange it, I remembered to throw the remote in my purse too.

New modem. New remote. Life is good.

I'm not going to post these everyday, I promise, but I had to share these:

In this pic, the boys had just been given sunglasses and frisbees, so they're really hamming it up.

This is little Hoja, a wee little 6-year old, in a house full of 13-15 year olds. His mother dropped him off one day, claiming that she couldn't feed him, and the newborn she was trying to feed.
Unfortunately, she is not one of the mothers we have been able to set up yet. Mothers with 5 or 6 (or 7 or 8) kids are given priority. That's just the way it goes. :(

Speaking of the U.S. falls, this article just popped on my FB this morning.
Apparently you guys need to replace two 115 year old bridges that access Goat Island, and are considering shutting your side down "to a trickle", temporarily redirecting the flow over the Horseshoe Falls.

Not for the first time.

If it happens, I'll personally make the trip and take first hand pics.
I was stationed in Niagara Falls when that happened... 1968/1969. It was amazing. After they removed the "bodies" from the bottom of the falls you could get up really close. Actually I thought it was more impressive shut off then when water was falling over it. Never took any pictures, I figured someone else was doing that so and I was correct, based on the ones you posted.
