I honestly forgot by now. It was one of those nights. But since what you quoted involved me giving @Nemo14 a hard time (which is my civic duty), I'm pretty sure it was something petty & irrelevant.
Or combine the two and celebrate with bootlegged hot buttered rum. I wonder if anyone celebrates such a day.

That depends on where you celebrate Mardi Gras. I love Mardi Gras, but I wouldn't be caught dead in the French Quarter on Mardi Gras day.

I've only ever been to Mardi Gras in Mobile.
Only heard the stories about New Orleans during Mardi Gras.

I've seen some crazy stuff, but I've honestly never seen any flashing. We've always made sure to stay away from that kind of stuff.
I'm content with the parades, and then I'll watch the local news later to see what madness went on in the French Quarter.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to make it at all the last couple years. I really want to go this year, but right now it's not looking like that's going to happen.
