Outside of his role as PM, I love Chrétien the man. Who needs the Secret Service when you have the Shawinigan Shake?

"The proof is the proof, and when you have a proof it is because it is proven" - or something like that.

And I love that our PM's, both current and former, can literally walk around town, largely unharassed, and order a burger. 5 1/2 weeks after triple bypass.

If you've not lived in Canada, (or gone to school here, @Eric1955), you can't even begin to understand us. Canadians are not Americans. Not even a little.

I loved how laid-back it was in Ottawa compared to DC.

I used to buy them a couple of grocery store gift cards every month to get through, but Diane insisted that she sing for her supper, as it were.

Truth be told though, I've had a cleaning lady since before I got married. Once I got a dog, and had a mess not of my own making to contend with, I started to have panic attacks. I can't deal with mess.

I am spotless. Other people are pigs!
