Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Half jokingly, I just told DW that I want to do a solo trip to WDW in February since I have a ton of vacation time and she has none..haha...I was surprised and not surprised by her response...which was "go for it!"
The meaning of that response is all in the tone of voice. It could mean anything from, "seriously dear, I love you and you have the time, I know you have earned it. Have a great time." to "I dare you. You better find a way to hook up with Minnie while you are there, cause you aren't getting anywhere near me for a very long time." Oh, yes! I have been the recipient of that grossly misleading type of conversation in the past. One of the many reasons why I no longer pursue romance. It is very easy to innocently fall into a very deep ravine that cannot be escaped from.

You know what's funny?

I laughed out loud when I read this....then I got really quiet.

I took a solo trip last year and really enjoyed it, and have another planned for this March. I love traveling with my husband, but it is nice to just do what I want to do as well.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

I think I would enjoy this too, but for the dining alone thing. In the past, I've always buried my nose in a book any time I had to eat by myself in a restaurant.
I suppose whipping out the Smart phone would accomplish the same thing.

Belated Christmas greetings and Happy New Year blessings to everyone! Sounds like y'all had some great celebrations. I spent last week with my daughter up north in San Francisco, Monterey Bay, with our last night in Cambria so we could do the evening tour at Hearst Castle. Good times. :)

After Hubby's practice, we headed out to our favourite Monday night eatery, only to find it closed for a belated staff Christmas party. :(

Ended up at East Side Mario's instead. ESM - never bad, never extraordinary; pretty dependably average. (Much like many of you view Olive Garden.)

They have a special running right now - order one of seven specific entrees, and you can choose one of five different lunch-sized entrees to take home.

No pics of the unlimited salad (again, think Olive Garden), or home loaf.

Veal parm for both of us.
Hubby finished every bite of his. I only ate one piece of the veal. Ski devoured my leftovers before I had even hung up my coat; and go figure, laid claim to my lunch entree for tomorrow.
