Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

No it was pretty foggy (I love fog). It was very foggy here on the other side of the bay all day, but it was just rolling into Newport while we were there.
I don't mind in-town fog, but dense fog on the highways is scary. People follow too closely, in an attempt to keep the car ahead within their limited range of vision - so when accidents happen, there are many cars involved, and sometimes multiple fatalities.

As I shared yesterday, we bailed on our trip to Niagara Falls because of the limited visibility. Between the fog and the mist from the falls, I ask you, what would we have been able to see anyway?

Oh I agree - driving in fog is really dangerous. I just like the look of places shrouded in fog. Lends a different atmosphere.

We went back to Newport this afternoon to see the last of the 3 mansions (The Elms) that are decorated for Christmas. It was very foggy which lent an air of mystery to it all.

Photography indoors was limited to just this one room, but it was pretty spectacular.

The delivery entrance:

I suspect that a certain Duke's ancestors lived here - look closely and you'll see why:

interesting details there:

So completes our mansion tours for this year. We have a membership so we'll go back in the spring when the gardens are in bloom.
This is the second time this week something @Arthur Wellesley loves was brutally murdered by a Panther.

Mock us if you must, but consider this: The Falcons may not be good this year, but at least they exhibit sportsmanship. How many other teams would visit a division rival's stadium & watch them practice for 2 hours, like the Birds did with such nobility on Sunday?

Ski's Trans Am is officially uninsured and off the road effective Wednesday. Luckily, we finally picked up the winter beater today - a red 2003 Chev. Cavalier.

I also decided to take Son #1 off of the Altima, so there should be no further "incidents" south of the border. He is now insured on the Cavalier only, while Ski can drive any of the Altima/LaCrosse/Cavalier.

Red? What the heck was Hubby thinking?
