Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Busy day today - drove 4 hours to Miami to bring my sister's car to her and her husband - they just got back from a monthlong European vacation/transatlantic cruise. Miami traffic is insane, especially when you're trying to follow the only one of you with a GPS. Anyway, we got there around 8 or so, gave them their car, then DH and I took off for breakfast then the Everglades. Pictures later. We just checked in to the condo on Marco Island. It's very nice, but bizarre furniture (pictures later). We're cooling off for a few minutes then heading across the street to the beach. It's quite hot again today, but no snowflakes so far....

I've been really sick. Everyone in my house got sick, but I was the last one to come down with it. Thankfully, I'm feeling much better today.

Glad you're feeling better.

My least favourite Golden Girl: Blanche.
My favourite: any of the others.

I still can't believe my parents let me watch that show. She was really "not for kids".

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
At first I thought that said 977 th Birthday.

I really though that he had passed away a few years ago.
When he passes, it will be front page news.
At 97, he is very much retired now. His son Franklin (the reformed prodigal son - he of the shoeboxes) has taken over the Ministry's helm.

I do a lot of jobs at Churches, either installing or repairing someone else failed attempt at sound systems.

I have been to many churches out in the middle of nowhere around this time and have seen rooms stacked to the ceiling with the Christmas shoe-boxes.

If these little churches can do that it boggles the mind how many boxes his ministry receives.

My auntie's little ministry in Tanzania has received hundreds of these boxes over these years. I've posted pictures before.

The little things we take for granted can transform a life - toothbrushes, crayons, hair barrettes, a handful of hard candies, Matchbox cars, cheap dollar store Barbies .... :)

Small stuffed animals instantly become "babies".

We did a tram tour at 11 AM so the photos are kind of washed out - sorry!
Washed out? They're beautiful! Making me miss that place more than I already am.

What did you think of the 'Glades? Hopefully you got the same good tram tour guide as we did. He was hilarious, and very informative (cannot remember name though :(). Were there people out bicycling amongst the gators today?

TBH, I was a little disappointed. Our guide was OK, but I felt bad for him because at high noon on a 90+ degree day, there's not a lot of wildlife to see, so he had to just keep reminding people to come back in the winter. There was a group of about 10 young "adult" girls who spent the entire time taking selfies and giggling. I want to beat them with that stupid selfie stick!

That's when there needs to be a pause for a brief alligator feeding. ;)

Sorry it was so hot & humid today. There's definitely a lot more to it than that area, but I get how the heat can seem draining at times. You did take some good pics though of what wildlife you did see.
