Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Wow. Being called out or corrected by unkadug for something? Now there's the surprise of the weekend. I've lived here long enough to know damn well what this area consists of.
Why the sudden hostility? Do you feel that I corrected you? Wow....just wow.

I think I shall leave now.

Who is the author? I am currently between books, and I like mysteries.

They are set in late 1800's NYC, called "Gaslight Mysteries".
A lot like an Agatha Christie cozy, set about 50-60 years earlier. I am rather fond of period pieces.

I also have a McNally novel there. Lawrence Sanders is often absolutely filthy, but this series is completely devoid of sex and profanity.

On the bottom is good old M.C. Beaton. Again, clean and not gory. I prefer the Hamish Macbeth series, set in Scotland; but the Agatha Raisin series set in the Cotwolds is also very satisfying.

Thanks that sounds like something I would like.

On a totally unrelated note, I re-opened my HayDay farm earlier this week. Problem was, I had two of them saved in the Cloud. One in my name and one in Hubby's.

Clearly, I reactivated my own.
My farm was level 8. The farm I had under Mike's name was level 73.

Can you say, "Duh!"?

I decided to start House of Cards. After one episode I'm not sure if I'll be really into it, or grow bored after a while.

I watched a few episodes, and I really liked them, but it wasn't enough to make me keep watching. I think Walking Dead (at least the first 3 seasons) spoiled me with the insatiable need to binge watch episodes until I was caught up. Haven't found another series to match that need yet. Closest one is American Horror Story, but the current season hasn't grabbed my interest that much yet (if ever).

I tried the Walking Dead twice and couldn't get 20 minutes into the first episode. Zombie stuff doesn't interest me. I've binge watched the following on Netflix:

- How I Met Your Mother (took 2-3 months)
- Parks & Recreation (took 2 months)
- Breaking Bad (took 4 months because I took a month break)
- Friends (took two months)
- Orange is the New Black (took 1.5 to two months)

I've also watched parts of Weeds and Arrested Development, but got bored of them.

Plus, I've binge watched 20 seasons of Survivor in two summers, so about 6 months. After this season of Survivor I'll probably try to get the 5 season I haven't seen yet in. If I can't, they'll have to wait until after season 32 which will air in the spring.

I also binge watched HIMYM, although I think it took longer than 2-3 months.

I caught episodes here and there of BB - that was enough for me.

I've always been interested in Weeds and AD, so might give those a try someday.

I'm a fan of Amazing Race. I would love to someday audition for that show!

I've never really watched the Amazing Race. I've seen a couple episodes here and there, but Survivor is really the only reality show I watch. This site actually got me hooked. Before your time on the forums, Chit Chat use to be one large category where movies, sports, and every random subject was included without the subcategories. So I would always see the Survivor thread, and decided to watch the season premiere on season 26. I was instantly hooked. And now everyone here can attest that I have become a Survivor junkie and have probably annoyed people to the masses with my fandom. I'm a super fan, as they say in Survivor.

So, as you know, I only got a few hours sleep last night, which was my excuse for not doing any laundry today.

And then tonight, after the kiddies were done banging on my door demanding candy, I went and got my flu shot.

How much laundry will get done tomorrow, do you think?

Well you'll probably be watching football from 9:30am until the end of the Packers/Broncos game at night, so my guess is none.

Oh carp, I forgot about the Packers/Broncos game.
Only the third time in the Super Bowl era that two teams with 6-0 records or better have played each other. Two future Hall of Fame QBs, top two scoring defenses, sounds just like something you'd like! Minus the icebergs.

I really like Amazing Race just because they get to see so many different places (and stay in hotels, usually - I know, I'm spoiled :D). I think I would go crazy on Survivor!
