EDIT: he still hasn't posted anything but just "liked" one of my photos. So he must not have been involved.

Now they're saying the 20 year old gunman is dead. It's crazy how often these things occur now.

We had an incident in town earlier today where a man kidnapped his girlfriend's baby and barricaded himself in a house with a gun. All the schools were on lockdown for most of the day. Apparently they had a SWAT team surrounding the house, but didn't block off traffic in the area (one of the heavier traveled areas of town). And what's scary is it was a house almost directly across the street from where I use to live in kindergarten. The situation was resolved peacefully, and two people are in custody.

Glad there was a peaceful ending anyway. Too many of those situations go horribly wrong...

My mom apparently drove right by it. She was supposed to leave work at 1:30 today, but wasn't allowed to leave her classroom until 2:30, when she was finally able to get the sub in and leave.
