I just watched a press conference with the Nassau County Executive discussing hurricane preparedness and he mentioned how you should NEVER run a generator indoors because the CO2 can kill you.

Yeah - it was awful. I got on the "walkup" gas line with my two 5 gallon red cans because the car line went on for miles. We're going to fill both cars and all of the 5 gallon cans tonight - just in case - and if we don't use the gas for the generator we will put it in the boat.

Yeah - it was awful. I got on the "walkup" gas line with my two 5 gallon red cans because the car line went on for miles. We're going to fill both cars and all of the 5 gallon cans tonight - just in case - and if we don't use the gas for the generator we will put it in the boat.

I'm getting gas tomorrow so I don't lose any of the tank commuting. I'm doing food shopping today though and hoping that I'll get to use it this time instead of having to quickly board up and sandbag the property before getting the heck of there.
