Happy Pie day!!!

Update about my friend's daughter, Em:
The coward didn't show up for his court date. And apparently this guy is well-known to the authorities. There's now a warrant out for his arrest, and he can no longer get out on bond or bail once they bring him in. So hopefully he will get pulled over for speeding or something so they can throw him in jail to await a new trial. Em DID get to see the two girls who helped her that night and give them a hug and thank them, so that's nice.

Yea, none of us saw that comin’ (emoji not directed at you)…
Coward doesn’t even cover it, and maybe a landfill should be involved, at this point…?!?!?! :cautious: Except, that turd would stink it up more than it already is…

Very nice to hear about the two young ladies that stepped up to help her…there are good people in the world…!!! :)

OK, so I’m watchin’ TV and a 15 second (maybe less 🤔) commercial comes up suggesting I ask my doctor if Pluvicto would be good for me.
No explanation of what it is supposed to treat, so I had to Google.
And, as you can imagine, I found the usual…
Don’t take Pluvicto if you’re allergic to Pluvicto (how would I freakin’ know if I was allergic to Pluvicto if I’ve never taken Pluvicto before ), yada, yada, freakin’ yada.
The more the years pass, it seems like the movie “Idiocracy” is becoming closer and closer to an accurate future… :cyclops:

@Goofyernmost , have you been out on the golf course recently? Since your climate down there is warmer, etc., I was just wondering if your golf courses had opened yet, for the spring/summer season.

I just happened to see a notice that a local golf course, up here, was going to open on April 1st (weather permitting -- as you know, we've had less frequent snowstorms even in April). Anyway, the announcement reminded me that you enjoyed golf down in your state.

In spite of the weather being somewhat chilly and wet, the course I usually go to has never closed for the season. I went to the driving range on Wednesday (beautiful day = almost 80 with clear skies) to see if I could still swing a golf club without falling over. It was successful. I am going to try and actually play sometime this coming week. It has just been colder than I can enjoy for the last few months and when it wasn't to cold it was raining. I suspect that the course didn't have a very profitable winter. This course did boatloads of profit through Covid as they never closed then either, so with all the others closing there was no other place to go, mask or no mask.

Love for you being able to golf as for the cold:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

We celebrated Pi day with black cherry crumble. So good.

Update on the fire in Arnhem:

They had already torn down the Solow, which was the part that was the affected the most, but several buildings across the street or across an alleyway couldn't get into their buildings because there was a risk of the remaining structures in the burned down block collapsing. Not to mention the gas and electricity to the entire area having been turned off when the buildings were on fire, and they haven't been turned back on yet. So there are a lot of businesses that have been unable to open despite not having much damage from smoke or water. But after discussing with experts, they have decided to tear down more of the most seriously burned structures so they can't collapse, and using as much as possible of the remaining structures and rebuilding in the historical style that was original to the buildings. Once they get the structures torn down, all those other business owners can get back into their stores to assess damage and clean up. And I guess some of them already can, because I got an email from the book store that they were reopening partially today. They are only allowed to use the very front part of their store because of the structure instability across the alley from them, since they are on a corner. But they can at least open part of it. That makes me happy.

The chocolate store on the other side of the street is closed permanently. That makes me sad.
