Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Schools around here are starting to delay for tomorrow due to windchills around -30 tomorrow morning. A few have closed. Mine hasn't yet, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. 🤞

No school for us tomorrow. We are in an extreme cold warning with windchills that could be -42. I was surprised when they didn't call off school before we left but waited until about 5:30 tonight. I'm just glad they called it off tonight so I don't have to have the alarm set for tomorrow.

Where I live has closed, but not where I work. So far, most schools that have made a call have been a delay.

Haven’t posted about this previously, as I didn’t want to drag the thread down, but I didn’t know where else to post this…then again, maybe I shouldn’t be posting it anywhere, IDK…?!
BILs wife (Carolyn’s oldest brothers wife) passed yesterday morning from pancreatic cancer. She was diagnosed less than a month ago.
This was his 4th wife, and he actually really found love this time. It’s been gut wrenching for him. He’s trying to be stoic, but it’s really not working.
We did get to visit her in the ICU on Sunday, and she was lucid enough to know we were there, and she actually smiled a bit.
Any thoughts and prayers for him would be greatly appreciated.
Again, my sincerest apologies for dragging the thread down.

May she RIP. Prayers to Carolyn's brother for the loss of his wife to cancer.

Thanks so very much, Minnie.
It just came like a freight train.
My Pop’s best friend died of pancreatic cancer 40 years ago. He was diagnosed at stage 3, and was gone in less than 3 months.
They had a cruise scheduled that they were going to cancel, and then decided to go ahead with it anyway. He’s not smiling in any pictures and just looks so gaunt. Pop said he put his hand on his shoulder at one point and he just felt bones.
As Pop said, he was just a hunk of meat always, so his appearance was very shocking in such a short time.
He fell a week after the cruise, ended up in the hospital, and died 3 days later.
Even after SIL was diagnosed at stage 4, they still told her she had about a year to live. What the freakin’ HELL…?!?!?!
Based on past experience I knew this was BS on top of BS with extra BS sauce…!!!!!
A friend of BILs when he was a police officer at The University of Texas has been great support for him, as his wife passed from pancreatic cancer about 2 years ago, only 10 days after she was diagnosed.
I know we all already know this, but breathe every second of life in, let your loved ones know you love them, and forgive and toss any petty crap out the window.
My apologies for the rant part, but thank you so much for your sincere condolences, Minnie.

Please don't apologize. Isn't that why we are all here, to share good and bad??

Thank you so very much for your response. It’s much appreciated, and you are correct.
I’m a guy who, mostly, always try’s to be silly, funny (as far as I know ;)) and share good life times. But, yes, many more times than we want, life doesn’t work that way.
Again, thank you so very much.
