When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
It was planned, so we knew it was coming, but it’s still spooky. Ontario Hydro is doing major overnight work to the power infrastructure, so we are in an 11pm to 8am complete hydro shut down - affecting most of the city, and dozens of surrounding villages and hamlets.
No traffic lights, no streetlights, no elevator (duh), just candlelight and moonlight.
I charged up our “stroller fans”, as I can’t sleep without a fan. We stocked the fridge with ice packs, and last opened either door at least 1/2 hour before the blackout.
Might as well call it a SUPER early night. Mike already has, based on the snoring coming from his side of the bed.
