There are 35 of our 5th graders absent today! (out of 145 total 5th graders in our large Elementary School)

Additionally, there are a few of our school's teaching staff members who brought their own kids to school today.
I had one gone for it today, but there was no notable attendance drops across the school. My favorite student from last year went to work with his dad again this year.

It sounds like a nice idea for kids. I had 4 students gone today but it is the ones that skip school often anyway.

I don’t have an accent.

On the subject of jello pudding pops....those were fantastic. My mom bought them quite often. I think she thought they were better or more healthy than ice cream. She also used a lot of coupons for them. I loved the chocolate ones, the chocolate-vanilla swirl were acceptable, and the vanilla ones were kind of gross (because they weren't chocolate).

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
I have never been a pop drinker - not even as a teenager (mostly because Tab was disgusting!)

Lately though, I have been having a small glass (6-8 oz) of pop most nights. I love it. I wait all day for it.

I still won’t pay $3.99 for it in a restaurant though.

Weird how your taste buds change as you get older.

My mom regularly drank Tab and Diet Coke when I was a kids yet pop/soda was given as an occasional treat to my sister and I. We would only get it on Sunday or Saturday with popcorn or pizza, we could also get it if we went out to eat (not often), holidays, or on vacation. Then in my teens to early 20’s I drank a lot of soda. Then I gave it up for Lent one year and lost the taste for it. However, occasionally an orange soda sounds good.

I used to drink a lot of pop, but then cut down to one can a day. And now I go some days without it.

In my 20s and 30s I would also enjoy Coke or Sprite on a daily basis, but in my 40s my dentist and my waistline were the 2 contributing factors that made me switch to bottled water with my lunch and filtered water in a mug at home for dinner. I will admit to ordering a soda if I eat out at a fast food business or Applebees.

Actually I've come back to my post to add a detail. Often at home for dinner I'll take my mug and fill it 75% with water and then I'll top it off with cranberry juice to give it some flavor.
