My daughter was born a 1:20am, 50 years ago on January 16th. When I left the hospital around 3am it was about (actual temp.) -23 degrees F. I went home and slept a few hours and then at about 8am I went out to go back to the hospital to see how everyone was doing. At that time the temperature was -36 degrees F and for the first time in all the years I owned it, my 70 Buick Skylark would not start. It had snowed the evening before so the plows were out and I lived on the end of a street where the plows would back into my driveway to turn around. I corralled them and they jump started my battery and I was on my way. Never had a problem after that. I think that my car was having some adjusting problems about no longer being the baby in my life. Or it was an omen, hard to tell at this point. From👶to 👩‍🦱 in ⚡speed.

.........................................................^ My little girl from birth to Mother of three. I hope to see the next two stages.
I was also born at 1:20am... but it was on June 30th, so I'm guessing the temperatures weren't too bad.

Thank you. I’m about to get out of bed, but I had to wait until Spenser was done cooking. The smell of sausages is making me nauseated anew.

Mike texted me from work. His stomach is very upset again. He already had the bug last week. I’m hoping it’s not a two-parter.

Today’s goal is to rehydrate. I’ve managed to keep about 8 oz. of water down since last night. The scale says I’ve lost 4.2 lbs. Almost all of it fluid.
That's awful. Hope you're all feeling better soon.

Thank you. My head was absolutely pounding so bad I could barely move my neck, so I figured I needed some sodium, stat.

Good old Lipton’s chicken noodle soup (sans noodles) and within 10 mins, my headache is 90% gone. Probably would be completely gone if I hadn’t bought the reduced sodium kind. I thought I was making a healthier choice at the time. Who knew?!?

Irrespective of why I was sick, whatever it is that comes back up (so to speak) is verboten for years, sometimes decades, and in the case of watermelon, forever. Unfortunately I’d had bacon, bell peppers, and raw almonds on Saturday … three of my dietary mainstays. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I found another reality show I'm really into. The Traitors. I started watching this season because two Survivor legends are on it... Parvati and Sandra. Parvati's one of my favorite players ever, so I had to. But the show is pretty good. It's not Survivor-level good, but still fun to watch. I'm going to have to go back and watch season 1, even though I know the outcome.

I know who won the first season too, only because he/she was on Big Brother last season.

I do feel more inclined to watch Big Brother now that I know who a couple of their players are... I just couldn't get into it when I tried several years ago. I like Survivor because it takes itself seriously... I felt like BB didn't.

My SIL and her dad went to the Bills game today. Her dad posted this. One hour before kickoff. I’d heard on the news that fans arrived hours early to help shovel out the stands.

One more reason to be a fan of a baseball team that plays in a climate controlled domed stadium. Just saying.

I just watched the BBC Ghosts finale (S 5, E 7) and now I am all sniffly.

I started bingeing this show at the trailer up to the end of Season 3, and have finished the last two seasons since Christmas.

If you can find a way to stream it, it’s well worth doing so. Far superior to the US version; which I also happen to like.
