Storms stress me out. Something in the atmosphere. I’m on edge all night and unable to sleep - even if it’s a Friday night and I don’t have to worry about anyone travelling to work the next morning.
Exactly. The stress of travelling in bad weather is, well, stressful.
One saving grace of being stranded at MCO or needing to catch an early flight is staying at the Hyatt Regency inside Terminal B. In the soundproof rooms you can look out your window to see Terminal B down below to see TSA wait times on the screen or get a runway view hotel room to see planes take off and land. The travelers that are stranded sleep on the couches, floors etc in the main terminal and baggage claim .
Trust me!!! You never, ever want Jim Cantore visiting your area. Been there done that, watched way too many miniseries to prove it

It is really rolling the dice when vacationing in the hurricane state especially peak time between August-Oct. One of the last places I would be on is on a cruise during those months. Speaking about going on the Wonder , I get seasick just looking out to sea. I have to eat with my back turned away from the ocean when on a cruise. It feels like when I went on Mission Space ( 1 time ) at Epcot which I refer to as the Vomit Comet.
That hotel has always been an excellent choice for many. I used to keep it in the back of my mind, only in the case of a very late flight into Orlando. (If so, I'd just want to get a room there for overnight -- and then get a bus or taxi to the parks the next morning, when I was wide awake. I'm not a fan of going anywhere at night.)

I actually meant travelling/commuting back and forth to work, or as part of your job, but yeah, that Hyatt Regency sounds really cool.
