Update: They did a bunch of tests....ultrasound, CT scan, etc. CT scan shows one of his vertebrae is collapsing in on itself. They can't really treat it as such, so they released him to go home, but wheeling him to the car was too painful that they took him right back in. They won't admit him to the hospital because he doesn't need treatment, but he can't go home because of the pain, so they will be moving him to a rehabilitation center for physical therapy and pain management, etc.

It was still under construction when Mike and I walked the length of the High Line in 2018.

May 23, 2018. Obviously we couldn’t get anywhere near as close to it because of the ongoing construction.

Glad to hear they found out what was causing him the pain. Sad to hear that he has physical therapy ahead of him, and relief may take a while to happen. :(

There is a two letter word in the English language that when said loud enough gets the message through quite clear. I suggest you use it, first chance you get.

NO, NO, NO AND IN CASE THEY HAVEN'T HEARD NO ONCE MORE.

FYI, no one called for a ride home last night, and my boys have yet to kill each other. 👍

Here’s the rest of my baking so @JenniferS can virtually nosh.

Oatmeal Raisin cookies

Lemon Bars, still in a slab and without their coat of powdered sugar. My variation from the recipe is to use fresh lemon juice, obviously the recipe was clipped from a ReaLemon advert.

And my hubby’s favourite, the plainest of plain vanilla cookies, Spritz. That I make these is evidence of how fond I am of him, because filling, using and cleaning a cookie press is a giant pain in the butt. (the star is his favourite shape—I make the trees because they are more festive)

Do you use almond or vanilla extract for the spritz? My mom used almond and I think it adds a nice flavor otherwise they are pretty plain cookies.
