We rope dropped Mine Train again. It was closed again. We ended up doing Dumbo and Barnstormer at rope drop.
Then we walked to Tomorrowland to do Buzz. However, Buzz was packed because Space was also down. So the two big rides people go to during Early Entry were down. We did the Peoplemover instead, followed by our Tron virtual queue.
Tron was a lot better the second time. My dad and I both agree on that. I think it's a combination of having a row towards the back, and having lower expectations. Still not as good as Guardians, but it's good to know that ahead of time.
Then we did Haunted Mansion, Small World, PhilharMagic, and Little Mermaid. We got a jumbo pretzel and beer cheese dip to eat. Right after we were done, it started down pouring. We snuck into Gaston's Tavern and were lucky to get a table. We got some gray stuff cupcakes. They were good, but the old ones at Be Our Guest lunch were better when it was quick service.
We poncho'd up and made our way for the exit. Like I said, we got soaked. We stopped under the train station when it was coming down the hardest. When it lightened a little we got on the monorail. By the time we were off, the rain had stopped.
We drove back to the resort to change into dry clothes, then immediately got back in the car to go to Steakhouse 71 at the Contemporary.
I had the Stackhouse Burger, same as last year. It was good again. However, Homecoming now has my vote over Steakhouse 71.
Now we're back in our room. We'll head to Hollywood Studios this evening, trying to dodge the storms coming later.
