Well now what do you consider "old?" When I was doing my pedagogy class before student teaching, we had to do some student teaching moments, just a couple of weeks of observing and assissting a teacher. So my mentor teacher for that was at this TINY little school in a neighboring town. It was a k-12 school, but she also had to go out to the rural schools once a week and teach the kids at those schools. One of the schools only had 1 student, and it was in the middle of NOWHERE. Anyway, this kid was 8, and he was saying something about his teacher being old, and we asked what he considered old.....he said anyone over 21. So even I was old by his standards at the ripe old age of 22.

It resonates with me as well @Goofyernmost
As of last month I am 61, but I don't think my students would ever guess that to be the case.
God's been good and I'm told I look younger than my age and I'm still active with my 67 band students.
I admit to spending more time in front of the mirror clipping grey hairs though![]()
OMG.. do you know how lucky you are. Clipping gray hairs is not an option when you have a 5 inch wide part. I lost most of my hair before I was 30. I was lucky that my incredibly good looks stops most people from noticing. (that and a hat) If you must "clip" them ship them to me, I've got plenty of glue.I've seen this t shirt advertised on the side of websites I've been on.

The photo you shared LOOKS natural. Yet in "real life" I've seen so many men who color their hair with not as good of a result. I can just tell that their skin and their hair are totally contrasting(if you know what I mean). I personally don't want to be one of those guys. Yet, to each his ownjust for men

I used Just for men for my beard. A lot of what is left on my head is still mostly salt and pepper (mostly pepper), however, my beard, as you can see by my avatar, is pure white. For the longest time I used J for M but by carefully regulating how long I kept it on before rinsing and shampooing I manage to make it resemble my head hair pretty close. Some of the whiskers stayed white and others got dark and it blended perfectly. It was something that lasted a few weeks before it had to be done again. It is simple to use and might take a few tries to get the timing right but it is affective. If you are at the point where the gray is snippable it should be a piece of cake. The photo you shared LOOKS natural. Several years ago, my brother came home once with a full beard after never having one before. He lived a hour or so away, and came home about once every month or so. It was a shock, but he's had one ever since. And I think he'd look weird without one now.I just got old enough until I didn't give a damn anymore so I let the beard go white. I have had that beard for the last 45 years and I know that I might look younger if I just shave it off but it is a huge part of my identity. My 47 year old daughter has never seen me without it that she can recall., I do not have any wrinkles due to my stubbornly followed regiment of pasta that has kept my skin tight. It's way cheaper then Botox.
I quit colouring my hair almost 5 years ago. The grow out stage was horrible … far worse than if I had just let the pepper embrace the salt gradually over those years. The photo you shared LOOKS natural. I'm going the "let the salt & pepper gradually replace the ginger" method. Like you, I just don't care enough to bother.I quit colouring my hair almost 5 years ago. The grow out stage was horrible … far worse than if I had just let the pepper embrace the salt gradually over those years.
I go back now and look at pics of those 6-7 years that I was colouring regularly, and think how flat, lifeless, and unnatural the dye looks. (And no, I didn’t dye at home. I spent $70 every 6 or so weeks at the salon.)
I acknowledge that each person, man or woman, feels differently about their hair. Me, I couldn’t care less. Ditching the dye was liberating. Almost empowering. Yes, it instantly aged me 10 years, but I was passing for 10 years younger anyway, so now I look my age.

Never in my life have I coloured my hair, it always seemed like so much labour and mess (I used to have to help my mom with her Nice & Easy). So many people mistake my statement for judgement of their hair colouring efforts, when it's just a statement of fact. I try not to judge anyone.![]()

I'm just gonna let my hair go grey naturally and gradually so there is never that shocking moment when I would stop.I quit colouring my hair almost 5 years ago. The grow out stage was horrible … far worse than if I had just let the pepper embrace the salt gradually over those years.
