Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

JenniferS

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
@JenniferS , now that you've been back home for a while, do you miss being out on the road and exploring? You and Mike had such a nice vacation, and it was also a good first test for the camper. Oh, how's Daisy? :)
I really miss being on the road. We made lifelong friends and memories this summer.

Now that I’m home, I’ve taken over a lot of my Auntie’s care, giving my cousin a much needed break. I’ve been staying with her four days and nights on, then four days and nights off. It’s a lot of work and a full time job, but I’m honoured to be a significant part of her end of life care. We’re spending meaningful time together, and I’m glad to do it.

Daisy is good. She got a haircut and vet checkup and shots on Monday. Unlike Mike and I, she did not gain any weight during our summer of fun, continuing to weigh in at precisely 3.0 kg. I’ve been gone for four nights, so she’ll be happy to snuggle up with me tonight. I’ll be happy to snuggle with her too. 🙂

Sorry to hear that your Auntie is not doing well. She is very blessed to have a niece that is so caring to be with her.

Not today. Our Halloween party is Monday. Just how you want to start off a week... 😂
My teacher story of the month just happened. One of my trumpet boys was quietly humming the Theme to Jurassic Park as he was putting his trumpet away at the end of his lesson. I recognized the tune...I grabbed my trumpet and immediately played "Jurassic Park" on my trumpet.
His face lit up like it was Christmas morning.
As I compose this post he is probably back at his classroom telling everybody : "Guess What!? Mr. __________ just played Jurassic Park from memory!"

......and yup, this Monday we'll have a Halloween Parade and parties here at school (My building has Kindergarten - 5th Grade)

That's really cool of you to do that! When I was in my Pedagogy class, our professor said one of the best things you can do as a music teacher is "shut up and play/sing". We spend so much time "teaching" that the kids don't see us as musicians. They forget that we used to be just like them, and it's impressive for them to see their teacher actually knows what they are doing...to actually SEE it.

I only enjoy the costumes of the children. On a different topic, I am watching volleyball warm ups just prior to my cView attachment 675547hance to be a line judge. I judged last night also. It's fun!😎
Just tell people you are dressed up as a Math teacher. (You could say music teacher, but then that's not really dressing up as that's you every day. So you just have to use a different subject.)
