The heat index was 113 here today. Our humidity is around 97%, and the temps are in the 90s.
Where are you? Sorry for asking, but I’m relatively new to this thread. 😁

We we’re triple digit heat index today, too, in the northern NYC suburbs.
At 9:30 pm, the temp is 83 and the “real feel” is 89.

We don’t have central AC, just a window unit in the living room, and a lot of fans.

Olivia Newton-John, beloved 'Grease' actress and singer, dies at 73

Her passing seems to have struck a nerve with so many people around the globe. She was very popular. (I was surprised to read so many reports about this, and even some from certain news outlets that normally don't carry these types of stories.)

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

Yeah, it’s weird, but it certainly has struck a chord.

For me, I am exactly the age that when Grease came out, it was the biggest, most impactful movie of my generation … much like I was the target audience for Titanic.

Grease was the first movie I ever saw multiple, multiple times at the theatre. I had the posters. I had the 2 album soundtrack - played it so much I had to get another one. For a decade, it was THE Christmas Eve movie that my brothers and I watched while Santa put the gifts under the tree. My brother Jamie and I can recite every line of dialogue, and belt out every note of every song, including the Sha Na Na ones.

Every girl wanted to be Sandy Olsson … and marry Danny Zuko.

In real life, she seemed like a lovely person who battled cancer for more than 30 years. She did it gracefully and stoicly.

I saw it at the drive in when it came out. I was 5. Let that sink in 🤣 We had the double album. And played Grease as kids. My older sister was always Sandy. Our neighbor Donna was always Rizzo. Her sister Michelle was always Frenchie. And I was Danny. Much like when we played Charlie's Angels and I was Bosley. Or worse - sometimes I was Charlie and had to sit in the house by myself with the walkie talkie giving them missions. Ahhh the 70s.

I was almost 11. Old enough to go to the downtown matinee show with my almost 14 year old cousin. Twice she put her hands over my ears.

Whatever Cuz, I already saw it as part of a friend’s birthday party. (I slept over, and the birthday girl and I went again the next day.) I didn’t understand those two lines then … I didn’t understand them muffled through your fingers.
