I hope all the details fall into place and any concerns are soon dissolved.Yep! And now I'm a bit worried about the Yellowstone part of the trip....it's flooded and all entrances into the park are closed. The article I read said that the town of Gardiner, Montana, where we are staying for one night, could take months to repair that road....we are supposed to be there in a month. I guess we'll see if I get any sort of notification that the hotel I booked is closed, etc. We are hitting all the historical sites and natural sites in Wyoming and popping over to South Dakota to the Badlands, Keystone, Rushmore, Jewel Cave, Custer state park, etc.
I grew up in Northeastern Wyoming, and we went to South Dakota several times a year to visit the sites. I took the kids in 2016 and we saw Wind Cave, Mount Rushmore, and Custer State park, and we ate dinner in Deadwood and had lunch in Keystone, but we didn't really get to see much, and we skipped the badlands and Jewel Cave. So we'll do those this time. But we're going to Yellowstone, Fort Caspar, Independence Rock, Fort Laramie, a few museums, and visiting people in my hometown for a few days, then going to Laramie to visit my brother so my daughter can do her English-speaking work experience for school. She's going to work in my brother's restaurant. And I have some cousins coming out from Tennessee, Illinois, and Iowa and will visit their brother/uncle/ my cousin who lives in Pinedale. BIG trip. The kids are really excited about Yellowstone, so I hope the roads are open again then and they get everything back in order. Otherwise I have a big problem. At least all the hotels I booked have free cancellation!
I was 23 on my last trip, and I think that was my 16th trip...I was 24.
I reached 48 trips in my 71st year. Since you started at 7 you should be able to reach that goal by the time you get to 40. Hint: there is no prize for that unless you have a quicken account and you can easily see how much you spent to do that. Then there is a brief bout with depression when you probably see that you could have bought a yacht with what you spent and had a bevy of movie stars and other famous people begging for your attention.I was 23 on my last trip, and I think that was my 16th trip...
I’m all in for a live TR.Also, it's so much easier to post photos with 5G than 4G. I'm pretty much doing a live TR at this point, but I can't promise that when we get into the parks.
The only problem I have is now I want a cupcakeI'll continue to post in here unless anyone objects. I don't want to start a real TR thread.
We took the boat back from DS. Walked through Ron Jon, Under Armour, Uniqlo, World of Disney, Co-op, the Christmas store, and the Art of Disney. We're back at POFQ now waiting for our room to be ready. We got some desserts at Sassagpula Floatworks. My dad had a cookie, and I got a cookies n cream cupcake. The cupcake was delicious. I've never been a fan of Disney cupcakes, so hopefully this means they've upped their game.
We walked through the gift shop, and I've already spotted one tumbler I'm going to buy.

did you go in Basin? my daughter loves that storeChecked into POFQ around 10:45. By 11:15 we were on a boat to DS. Walked over and ate lunch at Chicken Guy. It was pretty good.
We've had really good timing so far. The monorails all arrived right as we did last night. The boat to DS was waiting for two more passengers before taking off, so we got the last two seats and left right away. At Chicken Guy we thought we were going to have to eat outside in the heat, but a two person table opened up right as we were looking for a table.
Now we are sitting in some shade. We're going to look around some stores and wait for our room to be ready.
No, we didn't. We aren't huge shoppers. We did a quick walk through of the stores we went through. We were done with DS, including lunch, in an hour and a half.did you go in Basin? my daughter loves that store
