Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

The house across the street from us has a tree like that and when we were deciding last year what kind of tree to get to replace our maples, DH suggested one of those til he realized he'd be the one raking up blossoms. :joyfull: So we have a red maple to enjoy in the fall and a neighbor's tree to enjoy in the spring. win-win!
That's cool. :cool:Sorry I was so late to comment on what you said. ;)

I started to post something yesterday, but thought it sounded whiney.

Apologies in advance if it does.

It’s pretty much certain that we will be postponing our September Disney trip (no live trip report for you!) and there’s no way Mike will go to NYC this year either.

For those of you cancelling destination vacations this year, what are your plans? Assuming things are somewhat back to normal by the summer, are you doing big trips, local day trips, staycations?
We haven’t made any plans yet. We were waiting to see how things settled down, but now, not sure they really will....

We’re thinking low key now, just hang out with friends and family... Sitting by the fire pit, cookouts, movies in the backyard; that sort of thing....

Like Minnie, I'm going to see how everything shakes out. I can't imagine myself staying in a hotel room :hungover: any time soon.

I'm kind of afraid to plan anything because we don't know what, if anything, will be open and I don't want to get my hopes up and have to cancel. I had been tentatively thinking about going back to Germany (Bavaria) and finally going to Austria this Summer, but I just don't think that will happen. I don't think Germany has reopened their borders. We might possibly do some day trips like to Efteling, IF it opens back up, but we'll see.

I'm sorry your plans have to be canceled. :(

we are waiting until June 1st to see if our hotel is still closed thru June for our Universal trip and then cancel so there is no penalty

Today's Attraction of the Day: Na'vi River Journey!

Apologies if I already posted this ride. I couldn't remember if I did or not, and I'm not going to go back and search through a month's worth of posts.

Very mixed feelings on this one. While the ambience and attention to detail are incredible, it feels like lost potential. To echo what many others have said in the past, it just seems way too short.

Hubs and I are 99.9% sure we aren't going to WDW in late June but we are hoping for August. We are playing with the idea of doing a mini-road trip to Marcelline MO and Kansas City to see some Walt Disney connections but most of what we would want to do is currently closed with no reopening dates so we will just play it by ear. Maybe it will just be exploring some nearby state parks and doing picnics this summer.

The lack of story is what downgrades it for me. And the use of screens over AAs. It just feels like there's no point to the ride. Disney has always done so much better with their storytelling.
