I bought a little spiral ham (feeds about 4). That's interesting that we both chose ham for Christmas dinner! Glad that you're not knocking yourself out cooking and hostessing this time.

Another ham dinner here, at least for Christmas Eve. When we go to my sister's on Christmas Day we are having an Italian feast. She picks up sausage and ravioli from a restaurant and makes garlic bread. I make a lasagna and for dessert a chocolate yule log filled with chocolate mousse. Oh an appetizers are some savory cheddar cheese tarts I make.

The Packers beat the Vikings and have won the NFC North, which means we are guaranteed at least one home playoff game. A win against the Lions next week would guarantee us the #2 seed and a first round bye in the playoffs. I'm so pumped!

For those who might be interested, National Cathedral in Washington holds a Children's pageant today, broadcast on YouTube, that will really put you in the holiday spirit if semi-controlled chaos is your forte. Between the flocks of kids of all ages and live animals of all "digestive" habits, and live band, it's really a lot of fun. We went last year with our daughter and family and really enjoyed it, and they'll be there again today with their 2 girls.There's a 9:30 and 12 noon service.

I’ve been sick. Last night I felt absolutely awful. I’m still feeling weak but much better than I was. Thankfully I felt well enough to attend church. It was a beautiful Christmas Eve service.

Merry Christmas Everybody!

I’m actually feeling worse today, but thankfully not as bad as I did Monday night. I’ve had to hand off my usual cooking duties. Christmas hasn’t gone exactly as I planned, but I still feel so blessed this Christmas. I hope the same for all of you and your families.

Here’s my favorite song. It always puts me in the Christmas spirit. I have so many great Christmas memories of dancing to it with my family.
