Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

I don't admire Mr. Trudeau, but I have a worse thing to dislike that makes him look like a candidate for sainthood. When comparing it becomes painfully clear you guys have a wonderful life. If only it were snowless. It was 70 here today. Actually I have an X-brother and sister in law via marriage, that live in British Columbia. I should check and see if they would take me in. I haven't spoken with them in over 20 years, but we weren't angry just lost contact due to distance. I'm sure they would be thrilled to have me stay with them. I'd even start to drink coffee from Timmy's place and choke down Coffee Crisp Candy (eech) Bars.

Funny back during the Vietnam War people were literally running to Canada and I lived only 20 miles from the border, but chose to stay behind. Now my brain tells me that this is going to be worse then a war.
It is very hard to pick which reaction emoji to choose with some of your posts.

I initially was going to go with a plain like; then I kept reading and nearly went with a laughing face for the Coffee Crisp crack; and then I ended up with a sad face.

My political views aside, I am very sorry that you are so disenchanted with your guy. I don’t like our guy either, but for various reasons, I know that you feel more deeply about politics.

I don’t necessarily agree with all of your opinions, but I respect them, because I respect you.

I take a bit of that back ... Coffee Crisp is awesome. You’re just being stubborn about that one.

It's is hard to figure out because it is a menagerie of emotions all rolled up in one and I probably shouldn't have been quite so negative, but I can assure you it is motivated by fear and it's a fear that I didn't even feel when I was spending my time in the middle of an actual war. That said, I apologize for spewing my fears in public. I try, many times unsuccessfully, to not do that. Probably a symptom of old age.

I'll make you a promise about Coffee Crisp though, just as soon as I acquire a taste for Chocolate Covered Corrugated Cardboard (the four C's of it's makeup), I will come over to your side. My daughters are already on your side, but they were just kids the last time they had one and it was one of the few memories they have of their grandfather, when he brought them down from Cananada, eh. ;)

We don’t have a view, sorry.

We’d planned on going to a nice restaurant nearby called Marcello’s, but we figured it would be booked for Christmas parties, so we went to Boston Pizza instead.

Royal Hawaiian Pizza - dang, this was good.

We split the pizza and the beet/goat cheese salad.

There was not a crumb left. Back in the room now ... talking to my friends.

I was sad after Katrina when they said it had to come down. I'm glad they were mistaken.

Just about everything after Katrina made me sad. It was not a happy time for us.

Seeing buildings like the Dome restored to their former glory really means a lot. It really is an impressive structure, and I’m a big fan of its architectural style. The Smoothie King Center right next door, not so much. I always say it looks like it’s covered in green bathroom tiles.

My cousin and his family were in NOLA for freshman weekend at Tulane when Katrina hit so we were intimately connected everything going on there. It was awful. Mother Nature can be one angry expletive.
