Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Back at POR. Because of the waits, we only got out FPs in. I think my seat on FoP was broken. There weren't many movements, and the breathing didn't work. It really made it not a great ride. We got the front seat on EE, though. Outside of nostalgia with Space Mountain, EE has to be the best rollercoaster in property. And then the safari... we did it at sunset. It was by far the best safari I've ever had! And I've done plenty of safaris. We saw multiple of ever major animals. We had rhinos nearly within reach. We saw a HUGE group of giraffes. We saw many cheetahs. We saw a couple hyenas. We could hear the lions grunting and roaring! They were talking to each other. SO COOL!!! That was one of my favorite moments I've ever had at Disney. To hear lions actually roar in person... so neat!

Afterwards we walked through Pandora at night, then came back to POR and had dessert at the food court. Jennifer would be proud, I had a milkshake.

One thing I will say is annoying is this whole straw and lid ordeal. POR doesn't have straws accessible to guests. You have to ask a CM. That's not an eco friendly move, that's a cost saving move. A couple restaurants have been very hard to find lids. That's my only complaint so far. Otherwise, the CMs have been super friendly. More so than I remember in the past. I'll post some pics before bed.

Tomorrow morning is the first rope drop of the trip... MK!

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
It was clearly a wooden light pole outside the bathrooms near EE. Clearly there aren't any real Disney fans here.
That was my second guess.

What flavour milkshake?

And go to bed young man, rope drop comes early.

Thanks for taking us along today. Hope your PoR bed is as comfortable as your CSR bed - a detail you forgot to share this morning. (Those new beds, pillows, and linen led to the first trip where I didn’t wake up with “hotel headache” every morning.)

You know what's funny?

Straws were a disaster for us with iced coffees from Jeoffreys. Fell apart in two seconds

Vanilla. And yes, those beds were nice. Better than PoR, but the CM at check in said PoR is on the list for refurbs.

My phone takes pretty good night shots. The below pictures were darker than they look.

Not gonna lie, DAK is quickly becoming my favorite Disney park over the years. Glad you got to hear the lions roar "talk". I wonder if people at MK have ever heard them, as it's said their roar at full force can travel that far.

Speaking of roaring lions, only once in all the times I've been on Kilimanjaro Safaris, did I hear a lion roar. It was LOUD!!! :joyfull:

@PUSH , really enjoying the daily adventures you're having! :)

We had a few friends over yesterday around 3:30. Two other families. We BBQed and then realized I forgot to buy a firepit so 2 I ordered one online and two of the guys went and picked it up and brought it back and put it together. It’s a firepit/grill with a cooking grate so once we got it going we were continuing to cook on that all night. As people were talking to other people who were finishing their days at lacrosse tournaments and beer tastings and other parties we were telling them to come by. It turned into an all out party. Kids were all playing, grownups relaxing - I think we ended up with around 30 people at one point. It was so much fun. If we had tried to coordinate all of those people to get together it would have been impossible but because it happened organically it just happened. Finally fell asleep around 2:30. Fun night.

Spontaneity is golden. Did you have enough BBQ & beverage to go around?

Successful morning! We started with BTM, then HM, then IASW, then Little Mermaid, then Space, then Splash, then lunch at CHH, then PotC. In line for Pirates I got a FP for BLSRS. Before Buzz we did TTA. Now we are at our room. We are going off ground for suppers to Flippers. Then we are going to go to the Character Warehouse on Vineland. Tonight we may go to Epcot. I managed a FP for Soarin at 8:10.
