Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

@NYwdwfan , those were interesting pictures, despite the fact that I don't follow most sports. The reason why I liked the subject was because I had cousins that grew up in Brooklyn, and they were die-hard Mets fans. And I mean way back as well -- they thought the sun rose and set on "their" Mets, as my cousins used to call them. :)

Fan loyalty runs deep in many cities. I recall my own brothers used to stand by the Red Sox , years ago, when they had a lousey record. But maybe it's the same (for certain "off" years) for Mets fans -- they loyally stick by them, and if the team is in a slump, for example, it's still fun to root for the underdogs. (Please note, I haven't a clue how the Mets are doing -- the above was just a thought about how fans may react in various cities, across the U.S.)

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

True fans remain loyal, irrespective of how the team is doing. Hope springs eternal that fortunes can always shift the very next game.

Proof ... I have seen every single Jays game so far this season.

I've been thinking about this a lot since the fire, and I really have issues with the whole rebuilding thing. To me, Notre Dame was impressive certainly as a cathedral, but moreso because of its rich history. Whenever I see older buildings like that, even here in the USA, I marvel at the people who designed them, who built them, and maintained them without all the fantastic technology we have today. Will I feel the same about a rebuilt version, designed on a computer, and constructed by machines? I don't know, but I suspect not. JMHO

This is a tough one. There was a part of me that wanted the cathedral torn down, as the original could never be replaced (in the sense that this masterpiece had the heart and soul of the designers and workers, from centuries ago).

On the other hand, If they could design something that would complement the original grandeur, and Old World style, perhaps that might lend some needed comfort to the Parisians (not to mention so many people around the world who admire Notre Dame). Lastly, nothing is ever permanent in life, so maybe some reconstruction is the most sensitive and reasonable approach here.

While the game was in rain delay, I decided to clean my bathroom.

While wiping the toothbrush holder, I dropped it, and the chrome ring at the top broke off.

Looking inside, I decided this would be a good time to wash it properly (without using the dishwasher) ... and cut my hand badly on the jagged edge. I probably need stitches, but we’ll never know for sure, because a) I’ve already got my jammies on, and b) the rain delay is over.

After I finished cleaning the bathroom, I wrapped my hand all up and Gorilla Glued the chrome ring back on, and you guessed it - glued my fingers together.

Around here, we call this “Wednesday”. 🙄

TAR is kind of dumb... is every episode this silly? One of the reasons I like Survivor is because it's more serious. This just seems goofy. And that's how I feel about BB, too.

I’m not sure. I’ve never seen a full season. Of the three or four seasons I watched, I always bailed once my team was out.

Some tasks are more daunting than others, but most usually revolve more around the culture of the country. There's a plethora of annoying contestants so far...
